A girl laid on a bed, this wasn't uncommon in any fact apart from this girl wasn't ordinary. Her brunette hair fanned around her head, her eyes were closed but fluttered every couple of seconds and there was colour in her cheeks, a vast contrast from how she looked not even an hour earlier.
This girl was named Dorothy Barnes. She had a story unlike any other, hunted by someone but yet no one and consequently frozen to keep her safe, she thought she'd only be gone a couple of months and would be able to continue what was left of her life but that wasn't the case, she was frozen for nearly seventy years and her friends who she loved so dearly were either dead or close to.
The world around her had changed but Peggy kept her promise and kept her safe and it was she who decided when they would awake her. When Dorthy was awoken she had no idea what her life was going to be like, but what it turned out to he was never what she imagined.

Slowly I started to become aware of my surroundings, I could hear the steady pulse of my heart beating in my ears, somehow I could feel my blood running through my veins almost feeling the warmth of it. My body was awake, I was alert but yet I couldn't will myself to open my eyes and I didn't know why.
To see if I could I tried and successfully moved my fingers on my left hand, beneath them I could feel a rough piece of fabric like a blanket, I thought back to the last thing I remembered which just so happened me being attacked in my home, a year after, after Steve, maybe they had found him. I slowly blinked opened my eyes trying to get used to the light in the room when I had slowly become accustomed to the dark.
I pushed myself up and looked around the room, I was on a bed in a hospital room, I glanced down at my attire to see someone had changed me into a white sleeping gown. I got off the bed holding onto the frame for support and shuffled over to the window peering down at the world below. I placed a hand on the cold glass, cars but none I had ever seen before raced past, people wearing clothes that I would never imagine being possible walked passed, holding hands kissing and holding devices that I had never seen before, building that stretched much higher than this one cast dark shadows on the streets below, but the weird thing all the building had images on them. Where was I?
"Agent Barnes" I turned around to see a red heard standing at the door holding a device "how are you feeling?"
"Wheee am I?" I asked.
"You're in New York."
I glanced outside the window again, this wasn't my New York. "How long have I been gone?"
"I think that is something I better explain," an older woman, who looked exactly like Peggy said walking in "I'll call you if I need you Natasha" the redhead, Natasha nodded and left.
"Peggy?" I asked taking a step closer to her.
"Hello Dorothy" she walked all the way to me and pulled me into a right hug.
