You'd think on an eight plus hour flight that I'd have a nap but no apparently not. Three hours in and I was still awake, Peggy had fallen asleep five minutes after we took off and Howard well if Howard fell asleep we'd all die. Eventually though Peggy did finally wake up "nice nap?" I asked.

"Yes, thank you. You should try and get some sleep as well before we get there."

"I would if I could but I appear not to be tired."

"Maybe you have something on your mind" Peggy said giving me a knowing look.

"I can't stop worrying about Steve, my brother. Everything" I sighed defeated.

"It gets easier over time for the worrying to become a background feeling."

"Well I wish it would happen soon so I can get some sleep" I joked.

Peggy laughed at me before we both fell into a comfortable silence, growing up I never had any friends who were girls growing up so having Peggy was nice, it was different and then Peggy said something that jolted me out my thoughts "so you and Steve-."

"At best friends" I interrupted her.

"But your in love with him" she stated.

"How-"

"Everyone can see it, apart from the two of you."

"Steve isn't in love with me" I stated back.

"He is, you can tell from the way he looks at you and how the whole time during training all he would talk about was you."

"He did" I asked astonished.

"Yes" the smallest of smiles crept onto my face.

"But you love him as well" I wasn't blind I could see how she looked at him as well.

"What I have for Steve is admiration, northing more but even if I did love him what you two have is special I would never get in the way of that."

"Thank you Peggy."

I always hated to admit it but James was right, England was cold, dreary and above all wet. Rain pattered against the windows of the car as we drove towards the army camp in which we would be stationed at for the foreseeable future. Howard wasn't coming with us instead he was going to a university to help out on mechanics of planes and such.

Finally after what felt like a lifetime we had pulled up to the camp, bags in hand and was shown to where we were staying. I unpacked as quickly as I could, just wanting to go find my brother "go find him, I know you want to" Peggy said.

"Are you sure you don't want my help with anything" I replied.

Peggy laughed at me "no, go."

"Alright, I'll see you later then. Oh and welcome home" I took off out the tent, it was raining but not so hard that my clothes stuck to my body like glue. "Excuse me could you tell me were I might sergeant James Bucannon Barnes please" I asked a passing soldier.

"Oh yeah Bucky he's right down there" he pointed straight down the 'road' to where a tent lied and a group of maybe ten soldiers were laughing and playing cards. How did I miss that.

"Thank you."

I turned around to walk over when the soldier called out to me "did something happen to his sister?"

"I am his sister" I replied smiling.

I walked fast over to his tent "and that ladies is how you win at cards" James said bragging as all the other men groaned.

"Don't you mean cheat" I said causing all heads to turn in my direction. James's eyes widened as we locked eyes.

"Thea" James called jumping up, pulling me in his arms and spun me around.

"Guessing you've missed me then" I laughed.

"You have no idea" he put me down, looking at me and finally realising I was wearing an army uniform "what the hell did you do" he all but yelled.

"Don't get mad but I joined the army, special unit division."

"Why. Why would you do that, you were suppose to stay at home where you were safe."

"And what let the men have all the fun, that's not me James and you know it. You trust me right?"

James scoffed "Of course."

"Then trust me on this."

"You better not die or I'll kill you."

"Same goes to you brother."

"Oi Buck you gonna introduce us to your lady" one of the men called.

"This ladies is my younger sister" James replied an arm slung around my shoulder.
