"Is it utterly pathetic that I've been in love with the same person for oh I don't know the last seventy years."
"Nah It's poetic."

I smoothed outthe non existent wrinkles on my uniform, today was the date that on the files colonel Phillips (the army officer from that day) would be arriving in ten minutes to pick me up and take me to the mystery location. As I walked through my house making sure that everything was in order I thought that I actually had no idea where I was going or what I was doing, maybe Howard was right was I actually joining the army? A knock on the door sounded me out of my thoughts, I rushed to the door and answered with a smile "sir" I said. It wasn't Colonel Phillips instead it was another one, he was young but obviously experienced.
"Agent Barnes follow me please" he said walking to the car parked outside. Agent I could get used to this, once I had locked the door I followed the agent to the car. "I'm Sargent Cole by the way" the mystery man introduced himself once the car had started.
"I would say my name but I appears you already know it."
"Actually all I know is agent Barnes, I haven't exactly been told much" Sargent Cole said laughing nervously.
"Oh in that case my name is Dorothy, Dorothy Barnes."
"Pleasure to meet you Mrs Barnes."
"Miss Barnes" I corrected him.
"Oh I just assumed-"
"It's fine" I cut him off and gave him a smile "have you ever been to Brooklyn before."
"Actually no, I'm from Washington."
"I've never been there, Actually I've never been anywhere out side of New York."
Sargent Cole laughed "really."
"It isn't funny, my family we just never went anywhere, but I love Brooklyn, my life is here so I never saw any need to leave" I smiled out the window as we passed many familiar shops and side alleys (many of which I had saved Steve from) "so what exactly is happening today."
"Like I said I haven't been told much, just make sure you get to the location safely."
"Great" I mumbled. I sighed and went back to my previous position of looking out the window, soon enough we pulled up outside a antiques store "what are we doing here" I asked.
"You'll see just follow me" Cole replied as we both got out and walked in the shop.
Once in there I saw an older women standing behind the counter "How is your day" she asked.
"Fine, But it could always get worse" Cole replies.
The women waved her hand forward signalling is to move forward. The pair of us walked to the back of the store and stopped before a bookshelf, I have Cole a questionable look but he ignored me keeping his eyes forward I turned my gaze toward the bookcase when it suddenly opened revealing a corridor behind it.
Cole started to walk down the corridor me trailing behind him, the corridor had many army officers all standing guard over what I was not sure. At the end of the corridor was a door the pair of us walked through but as I did I stopped in my tracks the room was huge with machines and control panels and fight in the centre was a sort of capsule that looked like it was meant for a person.
