Notch's POV (1st P)

"Derp?" I ask. "Are you ok?"

"Don-n't c-call me D-derp!" I heard the man growl softly.

"Then what should we call you?" I asked softly.

I felt the man tense at the mention of his name.

"S-shatter-r... y-you can c-call me-e that-t..." He mumbled.

"Ok, Shatter." I whispered. "Are you ok?"

"I'm f-fine..."  He panted. "I've b-been through-h w-worse."

"You have friends in the Overworld, you say?" I decided to push him a little bit further. "Have you, by any chance, seen a man called Herobrine?"

He tensed again. "I-i have-e f-friends in the O-overworld-d, alright-t. B-but what do-o you want-t with Hero-obrine?"

"Nothing much... He is my friend's brother." I said to Shatter. "I wanted to see if he is ok."

"Is-s your-r friend-d c-called N-notch-h?" He suddenly turned excited.

"Uh yeah, he's called Notch." I asked. This guy was weird. "What do you want from him?"

"Nothing much-h..." he answered. "Don't worry about-t it..."

"You sound better," I noted.

"Y-yeah." He said. "I'm healing."

"Why do you keep your head down?" I ask, noticing that his head was always down.

"Nothing-g bad. Why would y-you ask?" He sounded offended.

"Sorry."

"Apology a-accepted." He said.

"Why are you talking to that guy?" Steve asked.

"Well, can't I?" I retorted.

"I-" Steve was replying when Shatter spoke.

"You-u don't need to a-argue with your brother for my s-sake, whoever-r you are." Shatter said.

"How do you know he is my brother?" I asked, curious.

"You two-o argue like b-brothers. I used to h-have two..."

"Used to?" I asked.

"I attacked-d one of them w-when I was angry. T-then I ran away." He sighed. "They hate-e me now. At least o-one does."

"What about the other?" I asked. He hasn't sound familiar until now.

"I'm not-t sure." came the reply. His tone made me sure that he didn't want to talk.

The next minute came and went on silence.

"Don't you think he sounds like Herobrine?" Steve whispered.

I nodded.

"His story kind of sounds like what is and Herobrine encountered." Steve continued.

"Do you think he is Herobrine, then?" He asked.

"I'm not sure."

"You do-o realise that I can hear you-u talking?" A voice asked.

It was Shatter.

"Sorry." I said. I won't want to anger him. His voice sounded hostile.

"Now, tell me what-t you want with Herobrine-e."

"Nothing."

"Not the truth." Shatter anylised. "Notch? Steve?"

"How do you know our names?" Steve asked.

"It was pretty obvious." He said.

"Oh." Steve facepalmed.

At least he tried to facepalm.

The chains ringed and a guard came.

"Trying to escape, are you?" He smirked. "Too bad. You won't be getting to escape."

"It was my-y fault, sir."

Shocked, I turned my head to see the guard walking towards Shatter.

"Punish me, not him." He said.

"Why so?" The guard asked.

"JUST DO IT!" Shatter hissed.

He looked up and I saw that his eyes were light-blue.

Definitely not Hero.

Shatter's POV (1st P)

I don't know why I hid my identity.

Yeah.

Wait, what?

"Who are you?" I asked in my mind.

Your counterpart, Shatter.

"That's my fake name!" I exclaimed in my mind.

Nah. I didn't have a name before. But Shatter sounded great, so now that's my name!

Anyways, come in here and the whip won't be able to hurt you. You'll look like you're hurt, but you won't be able to feel pain while you're in here.

"Ok!"

Shatter pulled me in my mind, and I found myself looking out a window that shows what is happening out there.

"Wow." I said, lost for words.

You can imagine anything in here. Think of a phone, for example.

I asked for a phone in my mind and it appeared in my hands!

"Cool!"

You can't bring it out of your mind though.

But you can change your appearance.

He changed into a teenager and into an old man and into a young girl and back again.

I concentrated and I turned into Steve. Then Notch. Then Galaxy. Then back to myself.

Good one, dude.

"Thanks, Shatter."

Look, the stupid guard's hitting you! Or me. Oh, when, I get my hands on him,  he'll wish he's never been born!

"Chill, Shatter." I said. "Geez, you're too hyper sometimes."

When since have you known me this well, huh?

"Maybe, since now?" I answered cheekily.

YOU-sigh.

That bastard! The guard's feeding you poison!

"I'd better get back in the real world."

Careful! And I'll always be here!

He pushed me to the front of my mind and I was greeted by waves of pain. I felt myself fall to the ground but I couldn't see anything.

The pain was unbearable.

I almost blacked out in pain but I knew I could withstand this kind of pain. But the poison must be pretty strong though, because my heart hurt.

Everything hurt.

And I fainted.

I woke up in my mind.

"Seriously?" I asked Shatter.

What? I healed you!

"Oh. Sorry, Shatter." I said, embarrassed.

Nah. It's ok. Now get back into the real world.

"Your turn, Shatter." I mentally pushed him into the front of my mind.

"Just don't do anything silly, ok?"

Ok. Whatever you say.
