Belle's POV
"No!" Jack yelled. "You're no daughter of mine!"
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
"Jack!" Conor yelled.
"I regret adopting you!" Jack spat and walked through to his bedroom, with Lydia following, smirking at me.
I burst into tears.
Conor hugged me.
"Ssh ssh, it's ok" he soothed. "You're not staying with them!"
I never really thought this deep down, but now I do:
"I want to go back on the streets!" I sobbed.
Conor's POV
"I want to go back on the streets!" Belle sobbed.
That completely shattered my heart!
Jack and Lydia have done so much damage to Belle, so much that she would rather live on the streets than here. I picked Belle up, nothing bothering to get any of her things and left the flat with her.
"Lydia was right!" Belle sobbed as I put her in the car.
"What do you mean?!" I asked.
I crouched down on the ground in front of her side of the car.
"She said Jack regretted adopting me!" she sobbed. "That's why I screamed at her because I thought she was lying! But she was right!"
Belle's breathing started to speed up rapidly. Next thing I knew, she was starting to hyperventilate.
"h-he hates me!" she gasped. "H-he wants m-me g-gone!"
"Sssh, sssh Belle" I said, soothingly. "Come on, breathe!"
She wasn't calming down, despite how much I tried. I called the first person I could think of; Joe.
"Hi" he answered.
"Joe!" I said. "I think Belle is having some sort of panic attack! I have no idea what to do!!"
"Drive round here!" Joe instructed. "I'll be outside waiting for you's!

I pulled up to Joe's flat, where as promised he was there.
He rushed to Belle's side, opened the door and crouched down, putting her hands in his.
"Belle come on" he said. "Breathe with me, in, out, in. out!"
Belle tried to follow Joe's instructions but was struggling.
Joe placed Belle's hand over his heart.
"Get your breathing to follow my heartbeat!" he said.
After a while, Belle calmed down. Joe picked her up and we walked through to his flat, sitting down on his sofa.
After Belle fell asleep, I explained everything to Joe.
"Oh my god!" he reacted. "How could he say he regrets adopting her?!"
"Lydia is a huge problem!" I said. "Jack wasn't like this before Lydia came along!"
"She can stay here for as long as she needs!" Joe offered.
I was about to agree but then something dawned on me.
"Joe!" I said. "Tomorrow Belle's social worker is coming!!"
