Claude x Reader [Catching the Butterfly]

This is a totally random one-shot and it doesnt co-relate with the story; also this is a commemoration of my revival. Yup, I'm alive.

This one shot takes place when Claude has an alternate lover, and you fight with your one-sided feelings.

Once again, you must painfully endure seeing Claude spending time with her. You knew your feelings could never be reciprocated, but you couldn't help but feel immense attraction to this demon. It was one-sided feelings after all, and you considered him to be a close friend of yours. Both of you have been working together for years, in the manor.

"Claude~" the woman chimed as she clinged to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist while she hugged him.

You were close enough to hear their conversation, you were attending the garden while they were having their fun. Claude had no work for now since his highness was busy filling some paperwork, so he decided to invite her over.

It was painful, but you were kind of used to it by now, knowing well that you will never ever have his affection.

"Felicia, please I am at work right now, calm down a bit will you?" He told her with a sigh.

Claude wasnt the man to be used to skin ship and she was very keen of it.

You continued working not paying attention to them, until you heard a loud noise. She slapped him. You were dumbfounded, you never expected that to happen.

The woman ran away with tears on her eyes, and Claude stood there still with a red mark on his face. You covered your mouth in disbelief and approached Claude.

"Are you alright..?" You asked with a low voice.

"(Y/N)." He called out, and you replied by looking at him directly to his face.

"May we talk? I must inform you of some.. things." He told you in a manner of wanting to hide something.

You just followed him until you both arrived at the kitchen, it was the only place to not be disturbed by anyone at this hour. Since the other servants were off to attending chores outside the manor.

"Claude, please tell me, is everything ok? You know you can tell me anything." You assured him, placing your hand on his arm, trying to comfort him. Even if you were actually concerned you couldn't help but be happy thinking that they ended it, in hope.

"... Sigh. I assume you have seen what has occurred. I ended our relationship at that time. She didnt certainly take it well, but it was necessary." He adjusted his suit and fidgeted with his glasses.

You were happy, but you couldn't show it. You got rubbed circles on his back in comfort. "Its going to be alright, but why necessary?"

He looked at you "There is something else that I must put to light, and it's the reason why I ended my relationship with Felicia." He told you, a serious look on his face. You could sense something different in him, you were kind of hoping he could confess his undying love to you.

He approached you and grabbed your chin with his fingers. He looked at your eyes "Yes, this is certainly it. I hope you can understand what I am trying to convey."

He got closer and closer, slowly and almost touching your lips. You could feel his breath and your heart was pumping so quickly you could hear nothing else. You put your hands on his chest, looking directly in his pupils. 'This has to be a dream' , you thought.

"CLAUDE!" Alois screamed, while both of you heard footsteps getting closer by the minute.

You cursed internally, in disappointment. You heard Claude sigh as well.

"Excuse me." He broke apart from you and started to walk away.

Determined for that damned kiss, you pulled his arm to you and fiercely kissed his lips.

You broke the kiss and giggled at his dumbstruck expression. You walked put of the kitchen, leaving him there shocked.

The next thing, you didnt expect him to quickly appear next to you, and whisper such dirty words in your ear "Have the night off, and come to my room later on."

You were left there blushing while he left to attend his highness.
