The stage was lit and in full gear for the next performer. Crowds of people who came near and far for this new year celebration were eager to spend the night out in the streets of New York. Time's Square was busy with lights and sounds that Taehyung could feel the excitement in the air. The atmosphere was colder, but more alive than anything he experiences back home in Los Angeles.
Taehyung was feeling grateful as he waited for his turn on stage to sing to the many faces that came out tonight. Tonight was a night of celebration and Taehyung was glad that his family would be out in the audience when he got on stage.
Taehyung had gotten a new set of wardrobe that day for the New Year's Eve event. He had a simple, yet stylish suit that suited the occasion. It wasn't the best for the cold night, but it would be tolerable for the performance.

"Let's keep the night alive with our next guest! Give it up for Kim Taehyung!"
That was Taehyung's cue. He began his way to the stage and once he got the full view of Time's Square he was amazed at the amount of people. Despite his numerous appearances in New York, this was his first time getting invited to perform at Time's Square for the New Year's event. Taehyung's performance persona came to life and he smiled and waved at the crowd as he walked to the middle of the stage where the microphone was at.
He quickly scanned the crowd for the people he cared for the most. The crowd was huge and hard to distinguish any faces. At last he saw a small group of people shouting and waving their arms for his attention. Of course, they weren't the only ones trying to get his attention, but the fact that Jungkook had lifted up Taemin revealed their location. Taehyung smiled as soon as he saw Jungkook with Taemin and Jihun. By his side were Jin and Alice. Jay had stayed home due to his recovery and Jimin had insisted on staying behind to be there for Jay so that everyone else could go in peace.
Feeling reassured and happy to see them in the audience, Taehyung turned his attention to the people and charged to let them know to play the track. Taehyung had decided to perform one of his newer songs that held a special message for him. From all of the past events, Taehyung took those experiences and wrote a song to share.
The music began and the crowd began to cheer for Taehyung as he grabbed the microphone. Then right on cue, Taehyung took in a breathe and began to sing the lyrics with his low and calming voice.
