A/N: I'm sincerely sorry that I keep doing these time skips between chapters from getting to one place to the other, but I'm just restless from not being able to write the main stuff yet.
Am I even allowed to share that information on this chapter, though? I feel like I just spoiled something......
You know how gods are all about being all big and powerful? Yeah. I'm not threatening at all...
So. Upon returning home, the whole place was ransacked by robbers. Literally, nothing important was left behind, which was everything including my own work as a god. Yuichiro thinks this is hilarious, so while he's quietly snickering in the corner, I'm trying to comprehend what the hell just happened while we were away.
"My question is, who the fuck would take all my paperwork, too...?" I mutter to myself, trying to think of the possibilities of it being humans or some supernatural beings with a highly functioning brain. Or perhaps they don't have a brain, which is why they took literally everything. "Not that I'm complaining," I add shortly after, finally seeing fit to go through with my plan of moving. I turn to Yuichiro who has finally calmed down, though he has that smile on his face when you're trying to not to laugh. "Why is this so funny to you?"
He shrugs, taking a seat on the ground, leaning his back on the wall that once upon a time had a picture of some sort of flower. I honestly don't remember what it looked like considering I never cared for it. I think I just got it to put more color in this place without getting actual flowers. The damn things always wilt too quickly, it doesn't matter if you have them in a reasonable amount of water, or not.
I scratch my head in confusion. I can't think of any logical explanation for this, and Yuichiro is still of no help as he continues to quietly laugh in the background. He never answered my question, though I suppose for that adorable laugh of his, I can forgive him his once. I place a hand over my heart which has a slightly quickened pace. My body feels a bit warm too. I must be getting sick, perhaps, I conclude, quietly oblivious to the real reason of this warmth and quickened heart rate.
At this point I just give up and walk away. Yuichiro follows me out, but he doesn't ask where we're going as we just continue to walk. About four minutes later of silent walking, I stop in my tracks and hold my hand out to Yuichiro. He takes it without question, and I bring us once again to the city. Except, we're now in an alleyway maze I'm unfamiliar with. I actually can't teleport me any place I wish. I actually have small devices which I have placed around important parts of the city I often come to for work or visiting, but it seems one of them was moved here for whatever reason.
I turn behind me to Yuichiro who is just as confused as I am, if not more. "Yu," I call his name, asking for his attention and services. "It's no big deal right now, but since we're here anyway, might as well figure out why we were brought here of all places."
"So, what would you like me to do?" he asks.
His ears are twitching to the dumpster against the wall of this abandoned building already, so he's already done what I need him to do. "Can you hear anything... odd?"
He glances at me, and then his eyes zero in on what I've asked him to look for, which is the dumpster beside us. Perhaps I didn't need to waste that ten seconds asking him something he was leading me to before I even asked him. Maybe he was going to check it out anyway.
Nevertheless, I suppose ten seconds is enough time wasted, and so I tell him to lead the way. Instead of simply approaching the metal crate, Yuichiro up and burns the thing to ashes. Please note this isn't even a small one, so I suppose it's better than moving it. It's not like anyone was using it anyway, and all it was doing was stinking the area no one comes through, either.
