People are not always given thanks for what they do
Do you give thanks for what others do for you
I want to be thankful for what I receive
Though I am not always as timely as I need
I am always thankful for special time and attention
And especially at bedtime in case I forget to mention
Some people do so much for others without any praise
I think these people should get an extra big raise
It can hurt to be overlook and forgotten
And being unnecessarily called out can make you feel rotten
I am here to say that even if this is the case
I bet your heart will be more than full of grace
And while I wish things were different than they are
I just haven't found a way yet to rearrange your stars
