Chapter 10

Cassie's POV
12 noon

I woke up the next morning in my bed, wrapped in Adam's arms.
He stayed the night? Aww.
That made my heart swell with even more love for him.
I unraveled myself from his arms as best I could without waking him up.
I tiptoed into my bathroom, and turned on the shower.
I stripped, and stepped into the water.
A few minutes in, I felt hands slink around my waist, and pull me closer.
I turned my head to see none other than Adam.
I smiled, running my hand through his hair.
"I thought you were sleeping." I said.
"I was, until I followed you in here." Adam replied with a smirk.
He ran his hands down my naked body.
"Didn't you have a shower to take?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
I giggled, biting my lip. "Um, yeah I did, but you came in."
In an instant, Adam had me wrapped around his body, pressing me up against the shower tile wall.
"Am I distracting you?" He smirked, starting to kiss my neck.
I felt the shivers run down my spine.
"Yes, but you're the perfect distraction." I replied breathlessly.
I could feel Adam's smile on my skin as he replied.
"Let's have some fun."
I moaned in ecstasy as I felt Adam inside me.
I swear, we showered. It just took longer.

"Do you really have to go to work today?" Adam pouted as he watched me put on my uniform.
I chuckled, "Unless you want me to be broke, then yeah, I do."
Adam laughed, "You know that I would pay for whatever you need."
I smiled, turning around. "I'm sure you would, but I like to be independent."
Adam pretended to pout again, wrapping his arms around my waist, planting a kiss on my nose.
"If you say so, Cass."
I kissed him in response. "See you later?"

"Yeah, if I must wait...but you could stop by the studio. You could meet the guys."
My mouth dropped open, and I just stared at Adam for a moment.
"Um, are you sure?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Adam laughed. "Of course I'm sure, why? Are you a serial killer?? Should I be worried??"
I laughed, crossing my arms, "No, I am a nice young woman. But we've only been dating for a week. What if your band thinks something that it's not?"
Adam's brow furrowed. "What do you mean?"
"Well, we're pretty serious, despite the time we've been together. What if they think we're a joke??"
I asked.
Adam chuckled, "They would never think that. I admit, I've brought girls around them, but when I'm serious, they know it. They'll love you."
I let out a breath, and smiled up at him.
"Okay, I'll come by."

"Thank god! I thought you were going to say no." Adam smirked.
I grinned. "You're so cute. Now, I have to go! I'm gonna be late!"
Adam kissed me. "I love you Cass."
"Love you too Adam."

At the hotel

"Hey, Cassie." Luke greeted me as soon as I walked inside.
I smiled politely. "Hey. You ready to work??"
He nodded. "Of course. You're here now."
I managed a short chuckle. "Um, yeah. Where's Dan?"
"In his office."

I walked into the back of the hotel to find Dan sitting at his desk, looking through papers.
I knocked lightly on the open door before entering.
"Hey."
He looked up from what he was doing, and his face lit up.
"Wow. Look who's here. Haven't seen you in awhile."
Dan smiled, standing up, making his way over to me.
He hugged me tight, and pulled back after a second.
I laughed, "Yeah, I know. I've been busy."
Dan smirked. "Yeah, I know. Luke filled me in..Adam Levine, huh?"
I couldn't help blushing. "Oh my god, stop!!! Yes, him. But can we just keep it on the down-low? It's only been a week."
Dan laughed, zipping his lips. "My lips are sealed."

4 hours later

The end of my shift was nearing, and Luke and I were in the towel room together.
"So Cassie, why did you come out here to LA?" Luke asked out of nowhere.
I hesitated. "Um, kinda wanted to start over. What about you?"
He chuckled, "Pretty much the same. I figured, why not LA?"
I finished folding a towel. "Well, that's nice."
"Plus if I hadn't moved out here, I wouldn't have this job, and I wouldn't have met you."
I chuckled awkwardly. "Yeah, I guess that's true."
I finished folding my last towel, and checked my phone.
My shift was up.
I smiled at Luke, "Well, it was a good day today. See you next time! Bye!"
Luke stood up suddenly. "Wait, Cassie."
I turned back around. "Yeah?"
Luke looked at me nervously. "Would you, um...wanna go out with me tomorrow night?"
I smiled. "Don't get me wrong, Luke, you're a nice guy. But you know I'm with Adam."
Luke laughed, "I know but--" he moved closer to me, our faces inches apart. His hand found my hair.
"I could be so much better for you.." Luke finished.
I shook my head. "No, Luke-"
I didn't get to finish my sentence before Luke's lips were on mine.
It took me a second to register what was happening, and i instantly stepped back in shock.
Luke was smirking, and I was freaking out.
What the fuck just happened?
"I gotta go.." I mumbled, racing out of the room, outside and to my car.

I was creeped out, to say the least. Maybe Adam was right about Luke.
Adam. I promised to meet him at the studio.
I turned on my car, and sped away from the hotel, making my way there.
I had to tell Adam.
But I was a bit worried at what he would do.

About fifteen minutes later, I had reached the studio.
I speed-walked into the building, and was directed to where Adam and the band were.
I knocked on the door, and Adam answered it.
His face lit up, he kissed me once, before grabbing my hand, and pulling me inside gently.
"Guys this is Cassandra West, my girlfriend." Adam said right away.
They all smiled at me, and James stood up. "It's nice to meet you, Cassandra. We've heard a lot about you from Adam. All good things, too."
I smiled at Adam, as he looked at me.
I cleared my throat, "Adam, can I talk to you for a minute in private?"
He nodded, following me outside the room, and closed the door.
I sighed. "Luke kissed me." I blurted out.
So much for being worried.
Adam's eyes widened, "Seriously?!"
I nodded, "Yeah, he asked me out before I clocked out today, and when I told him that he knew I was dating you, he said that he could be better for me. And then out of nowhere he kissed me. And I pulled back right away."
Adam's eyes filled with rage. "Wait until I get my hands on this kid.."
I put my hands on his chest. "No, Adam. That would just make things worse. I'll take care of it, I promise."
Adam sighed. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah. I'll call Dan, tell him what happened, and Luke will be looking for a new job." I replied.
Adam smirked, kissing me. "He's lucky, I didn't see see him do it. He would have more hospital bills than he could count."
I giggled. "Wow, I like this side of you. It's pretty sexy."
Adam laughed, "No one tries to take my girl."
I giggled, moving closer to him. "I'll always be right here."
