Y/N was spending her time in the library every spare time she gets. Searching for the translation of the book. Whatever language is used to write the book, it has the same language as the one written craved behind the mirror.

She had been looking for four days, with the help of Albus and Scorpius, but nothing matches. Today Scorpius had detention from Pince, so it's only Albus and Y/N. They were sitting with piles and piles of books in front of them, still searching for any sign.

"This is like doing homework" Albus groaned, "and I haven't finish my actual homework."

"It's not that bad" said Y/N trying not to fall asleep.

Albus isn't even searching anymore, he's too busy banging his head to the table.

"I heard it made a sound the other day" said Y/N as she began to remembered, "The mirror made a sound" She repeated for more clarity.

Albus stopped banging his head as he looked at Y/N expectantly. "How are you telling me this now?"

"I don't know, maybe because i actually thought I'm turning into a nutter."

"Maybe you are a nutter, making me read books that is not homework. My precious time has been shattered." said Albus as he looks at the book in front of him as if he was waiting for it to talk. "I mean, i liked getting out at night, but i didn't sign up for this"

"How long do you have before your practice anyway?" asked Y/N, glancing over to Albus.

Albus looked at his watch, "About half an hour"

Y/N closed the book she was reading and pick up another one in front of her, "Well then, I release you from this agony." She said,

"Really?" Albus' head shot up as he looked up at Y/N excitedly. Y/N nod in return, "Don't take this the wrong way, I release you because I can't stand your constant whining."

"yeah whatever" said Albus as he packed up his backpack and ran away,

"Use your time wisely, peasant!" Albus wanted to reply with a scream but it's the library and he can't afford a detention from Pince. He don't want to end up like Scorpius, cleaning the abandoned bathroom with Mrythle as a company.

Y/N continued searching and almost gave up midway.

"Need a hand?"

Y/N glance to see Jyn taking a seat beside her. "Hello to you too" she said teasingly.

"So what are you up to? Hard homework?" He asked as he try to see what she was reading about. "Language?"

"Yeah," said Y/N trying not to tell him the whole story. "I''m looking for this," She picked up her quill and wrote something on an empty parchment. She looked at it so often that she memorized how to write it. "Any idea what it meant?"

"I'm not a language expert..." said Jyn looking at the writing, "But It might not be any common language. It might not be any language at all. It depends really."

"Depends on what?" Y/N asked, feeling more hopeful by the second,

"Depends on where you find it. If you find it at a common book shop maybe it is just a weird language. If you find it somewhere weird and not common, it might be some kind of a secret symbol." Jyn glance over to the bookshelves behind him, "You could start searching in the symbol section." He points over behind him.

Y/N who is in awe, started to feel excited all over again. Her boredom is replaced with a rush of happiness because she doesn't have to look at useless books and actually have a headstart.

Y/N entered her room that night feeling light headed. She was holding five books to her chest that might be the potential answer to what she was looking. She was so caught up and tired that she didn't notice Fiel watching her every move.

"Had stuff to do?" said Fiel, she was sitting on her well-kept bed.

"Yeah," said Y/N trying not to sound awkward. "It would be better if you helped me anyway."

"Maybe you should ask me instead of hoping i would help you voluntarily. For all I know you could already had help from a Slytherin." said Fiel in a calm but bitter tone.

"Look, Fiel..." Y/N turned around to face Fiel, "I know you're mad at me, and I'm sorry. I'm just keeping myself busy with stuff. Since you were with Sam, you know i get left out. So is it really my fault if i could finally do something on my own?" Y/N burst out.

Fiel fell silent, her face pale and Y/N could see it under the the dim light. Suddenly the room feels warm as the tension is slowly melting, and Y/N could feel it. Fiel walked closer to Y/N, "What are you working on?" she asked as if everything is back to normal.

Y/N was considering to not tell her about the mirror, but she desperately need help. Especially from someone who actually pays attention on ancient runes. So Y/N told Fiel everything. Y/N even let her see the mirror, even though she's warned to not look at it directly.

Fiel traced her fingers on the back of the mirror, quietly she said, "This looks like glagolitic alphabet." she said, which Y/N replied with, "I've checked. It's not it."

"How about Old Church Slavonic?" Fiel asked again,

Y/N looked at her list of books she scratch then said, "Nope, wasn't it either. I've checked yesterday. Jyn said it could be symbol, ancient or some sort."

"Ancient symbol?" Fiel raised her eyebrows. "What about royalties secret symbol? Have you check those?"

Y/N looked at her list of books again, and shook her head, "No, not yet."

"Then you know where to start"
