It had been almost six weeks since Artorias's last incident. He had hung out with Ruby so much in that time, that he was miraculously able to forget about the abyss swelling inside him. That day, they were walking around Beckon together, Artorias telling her about his adventures in Lordran, and Ruby about how she made her weapon. But mostly Ruby talking about her weapon, which he didn't mind. He could listen to her talk for hours and still not be even the slightest bit bored. "And I thought to myself, 'hey, why not make a sniper scythe!'" Ruby continued. Artorias gave a chuckle. "You've told me that story seven times already, Ruby" he told her. She had a clueless look on her face. "I did? Oh well. It's my favorite one!" she jumped up and down with glee. "But I thought the one about your uncle kissing a man drunk was your fa-" he began. "That's on an entirely different level of favorite!!" she busted out laughing.

They had made their way outside, walking around the campus. The two laughed, joked, and made each other smile many times that day. Artorias began to feel himself getting attached to Ruby. However, it quickly turned to fear when the previous events ran through his head. "What is it happens again? What if she's not able to escape?.." These were all thoughts racing through the knights head. Ruby could tell he was troubled, and turned to him. "Something wrong?" she asked, her head cocked to the side. He quickly regained his focuse and nodded. "Yes. Just...listening to your stories is all" he spoke. She gave a grin and continued on. "Hey!" a voice called from behind them. Yang had cought up with them. "The beakon tournament is coming up!" she grinned. "You gonna join, tough guy?" yang asked. Artorias thought for a while, before nodding. "I will do my best" he spoke. Both girls squealed suddenly. "This is gonna be so much fun!!" they both cheered in sync
