~Ty's POV~

After Jerome saved us with his axe, we started a search for our weapons. I'm surprised the people who took us as hostage didn't take Jerome's weapon.

"Hey, how come our weapons were taken, but not yours?" I asked.

"I dunno... maybe the people who took us hostage were idiots." Jerome replied as He caught up to Mitch, who was looking for his diamond bow. We eventually did after... an hour, because the people who took us out hid mine in the worst place ever...

The bathroom.

"Why the hell does mine have to be in here?!" I complained as I grabbed my iron sword. I made sure it wasn't in the toilet and washed it with soap, and chemicals. I went back outside to see Sky and his weapon. And he looked pale.

"Hey, what happened?" I asked. All Sky did was point to the girls bathroom door.

I tried so hard not to laugh.

"That's dumb." I replied as we continued to walk back to the jail to meet with the others.

"Well, where did you guys find your weapons?" Mitch asked us.

"In the bathroom." I replied, looking back at Sky, who had his head facing the floor.

"Girl... or Boy...?" James asked Sky, coming back from the storage closet.

"Uh..." I chuckled a bit.

"Wait... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Jerome asked, laughing on the floor.

"Shut up, OR I'LL SHAVE THE FUR OFF OF YA!" Sky screamed, pointing his sword at Jerome.

"I have to admit, it is a little funny." Skyler said from above. "But my dagger ended up in the dusty closet."

"Anyway, lets find a way out." Aaliyah said, drying herself.

"Um..." I started to say.

"Pool. That's all i'm gonna say." She stopped me. "I'm gonna find an exit."

"You mean that one over there?" Chelsea said, pointing to a door with a bunch of skeletons guarding it.

"Oh, we got this." Amber said, readying her bow. But Skyler ran ahead and started charging to the skeletons.

"SKYLER!" Sky and I screamed in unison. But what I saw was amazing. She kicked the skeletons and stabbed them, cut them before they shot her.

"Whoa... your child is awesome." I heard Quentin say, coming from the pool.

"Go figure." Jerome said, poking Quentin's cheek. We watched Skyler fight until she came back with no scars, bruises, or cuts.

"I'm fast for a girl who just grew up in less than a minute." Skyler said, dusting herself off.

"Let's go!" I said , running to the exit as the other followed.

~Dakota's POV~

After watching Sky's and Ty's child, we started running to the exit to escape this prison. I am still, kinda shy of the new dudes 'cause I've been in two vortex's in one day and been stuck in jail in less than twenty-four hours.

"Hey, why don't ya speak up?" I heard Sky ask me while we were running to the exit.

"Well, I just don't feel like talking as much. Plus, sometimes I like doin' things solo." I replied.

"Well, you can't do things alone. Sometimes, you just gotta ask for help." Aaliyah said, running past us.

"Aaliyah! Welp, she's a fast runner." James said from behind. "It's like a race to her."

"Well, gotta check on my dude. See ya!" Sky said to me, catching up to Ty to hold hands while running. The words that Aaliyah said echoed in my mind.

You can't do things on your own. Sometimes, you just gotta ask for help.

Maybe she's right. I can't do things on my own that much.

But...

I stopped thinking about it for a while when we exited the prison. But what I saw was the worst sight I've ever seen.

"What the..." I said in awe. It was a room filled with zombies.

"Ugh... I don't feel like fighting." Skyler complained. She must be tired after kicking the skeletons at the exit. I sighed. I didn't want to fight either. I just wanted to be alone for a little bit.

"I won't do things on my own." I muttered to myself as I ran to the zombies. I looked behind to see no one was fighting with me.

Well, that's what I get for doin' things on my own.

Just then, a zombie was starting to come to me from behind. I was swarmed.

"This is the e-" I was cut off from an arrow and a sword that was two inches from my face.

"Would you think we would leave you to die?!" Mitch said from behind.

"I told you, you can't do things by yourself." Aaliyah said, fighting off zombies for me. I smiled as I continued to fight the wave of zombies.

~Time Laps~

I was panting so hard, I almost fell to the floor. I fought about a thousand zombies, so we all had to transition, except for me because I was stuck in the middle of the wave.

"Wow, I have never fought that many zombies..." I said. Skyler nodded because she was the last one to fight along with me.

"Well, well, looks like you made it through the first test of mine." A strange yet familiar voice echoed in the room.

"Test?" Aaliyah asked.

"Oh yes. But of course, there's more." The voice chuckled as it slowly started to fade away.

"Well, before we continue this maze of 'tests', what was this test about?" Quentin asked. Without hesatation, I looked up, and said something that made me smile.

"Never do stuff on your own."
