Within days our house becomes crowded with guests. Aunt Aadhya and Siddharth's friends and relatives were quick to see Drishti. Like I expected, everyone claims she looks like me, her mother.  The school also heard the good news, and everyone were desperate to see the new member of our family, especially Armit. Speaking of Armit, we have been in contact. A while before I took maternity leave, he sorta confessed his feelings for me, which caused our bond to shatter. We weren't on talking terms for a while, however,  it was me who approached him first. After the mishap with Keerthi, I truly felt like I had nobody. There was nobody who I could speak to or express my feelings - The only one I had was Armit.

I talked to him and we cleared all misunderstandings. He wasn't like Siddharth, he knew his limits. Armit knew I was married and infact apologised unnecessarily for falling for me, and told me that we can be just friends like we were before.

"Nisha! Heard the news, can't wait to see your little queen" Armit text reads

I hit him a thumbs up as a reply, before calling him

"Armit" I say into the phone

"Congrats Nisha!" He says excitedly

"Thank you so much. You have to come see her, everyone's here" I say with joy

"I dunno, How would your hubby feel about me coming around?" Armit asks

"Don't worry about it" I reply

"Okay then Nisha, If you say so, I'll come around in a bit, bye" He says

"Sure bye Armit" I reply and end the call

In all honesty I don't care what Siddarth would think, afterall, Armit has had my back much more than him, and I will invite Armit no matter what.

I find Siddharth sitting at the corner of the living room with Drishti placed in his strong arms

"Armit's coming around" I say

"Armit?" Siddharth huffs

"Yes, Armit, So What? Everyone at work found out about the news, its rude not to invite him" I say

Siddharth sighs, but surprisingly does not say anything

Just then I hear a knock on the door

That was quick

I open the door and find Armit standing outside with a bouquet of roses and a giftbag

"You didn't have to!" I say welcoming him

"It's nothing, this is for you, and this for your baby" He says handing me the giftbag

I quickly run to Siddharth and grab a crying Drishti from his arms

"There she is" Armit squeals walking into the living room

"Drishti" I say patting her in hope she stops crying

"Wow, what a name. Isn't it dear" Armit says pinching Drishti's cheeks gently

"I'm so sorry, she usually isn't like this" I say trying to calm her down

"Here give her to me, maybe she'll stop crying" Armit says

"Uncle Armit" I tell Drishti handing her gently to Armit

I watch as Armit consoles a crying Drishti swaying her gently in his arms

All of a sudden, Drishti stops crying and her eyes light up

"There there" Armit whispers swaying her gently

"She seems to like your company, right sweetie" I whisper

"She sure does" Siddharth sighs getting up and leaving the room

Armit and I exchange glances wondering what just happened

"He okay?" Armit asks

"Siddharth is Siddharth, never understand his mood" I sigh

Siddharth's POV

A wave of both anger and despair entered my soul as Nisha snatches Drishti out of my arms, giving her to Armit.

Drishti was mine.

Not was, is.

Drishti is mine.

She is my princess.

She is my little girl, not Armits.

Ever since the day Armit entered Nisha's life I knew he was trouble, and now what, he is even taking away my daughter.

No, Siddharth. You can't be jealous

Jealousy and Anger had torn my relationship with Nisha. If I complain to her about Armit, she will just end up thinking that I'm some jealous brat.

I admit it, I've made mistakes, but how can a father not be angry at another man stealing away his daughter like that?

I watch as Armit makes silly faces at Drishti.

"I think she likes you" Nisha says with joy

Anger rises within my body

"You do, right Drishti" Armit kisses

My blood is boiling with rage and jealousy. I take a breather, aiming to control my anger.

Nisha is my wife and Drishti is my daughter, Armit can't come between any of us.

"She seems to like your company" Nisha whispers to Armit, glancing at him romantically

"She sure does" I spit out getting up and leaving

This was too much.

Armit can take away Nisha. I'll admit I haven't been the best husband to her, and she probably deserves someone better than me, but Drishti?

How dare he.

One may think I'm over reacting, but if anybody experienced what I did, I am sure they'll feel the same.

The sight of Nisha and Armit huddled up holding Drishti between them cannot escape my mind. . Nisha and Armit smiling, and looking at one another with love. Even Drishti stopped crying when she was in his arms.

They looked like the perfect family

They were the perfect family

Hi my friends, how did you find this chappy? I did a short POV of Siddharth since a few of you requested it, hope you enjoyed :)
