Luke just kept on holding onto me and I can tell he doesn't want to let me go at all, I snuggled into his chest as I had tears running down my face. I looked up at Luke and said,
"I-I had a d-daughter a-and I gave h-her to m-my Grandparents two y-years ago and she i-is turning three in t-two months," I said. Luke picked me up and carried me up the stairs to his room and placed me on his bed, Luke turned on his tv and asked,
"Anything you want to watch?" I tried to think what to watch and I just shrugged. Luke put on NCIS and sat down next to me as we watched NCIS,
"So do you see your daughter?" Luke asked,
"I get photos but no I have not seen her in person but my Grandma tells me that my little girl wants to see me since she knows I'm her mum. I just don't know if I'm ready to be a mum yet since Will doesn't know and mum was still depressed but she knows and I have to focus on them," I said watching the tv. Luke sighed and then made me look at him,
"Sara I know you can be a mum since your a mum to Will, you don't need to put them first since your mum is happy and Will would be happy and understand and I will help you with anything," Luke said. I smiled and then asked,
"Can I do something I will be right back so can I do something?" I asked and Luke nodded.
I got up and ran downstairs and grabbed the home phone and called my grandparents, someone answered and I heard.
"Hello, how may I help you?" I hear my Grandma ask,
"Grandma it's me I wanted to ask do you think it's not too late to be a mother to my daughter yet?" I asked. I hear my Grandma sounding happy,
"Of course not, if you want we can start packing up her stuff and head over to the house with her," my Grandma said, I smiled.
"Can you bring her here now, I kinda want to be with her since I'm home with Luke my soon-to-be stepbrother and I know he would love to meet her," I said and I can hear my Grandma's joy even more.
"I will get your Grandfather to pack everything up and I will bring her over right now," my Grandma said and I was happy to hear that. We said goodbye and hung up and then I ran back upstairs and sat back down next to Luke with a big smile on my face.
"So what did you do?" Luke asked and I said with a big smile,
"I'm going to be a mother to my daughter so my Grandma is going to bring her over while my Grandpa packs up all her stuff and he will bring it all over later," I said and I can tell Luke is proud of me.
We kept watching NCIS until we hear a knock at the door, we pause the show and walk out of Luke's room and head downstairs and I walked to the front door and open it. I smile as I see an old woman with her grey hair in a bun, her green eyes that are just filled with happiness and a big smile on her face.
"Hi Grandma," I said and gave her a hug and she gave me a hug back,
"I always knew you would want to be a mum to your daughter fully before or on her third birthday," my Grandma said.
"Where is she?" I asked as my Grandma walked in,
"I wanted you to start being a mother so she is in the car waiting for her mother," my Grandma said. I smiled and walked to her car and looked in the back seat to see a nearly three-year-old girl with long brown hair and beautiful green eyes. I opened the car door and she just looked at me and I smiled,
"Hi little one, do you know who I am?" I asked and she nodded.
"You're my mummy," she said and I smiled and nodded. I got her out of her car seat and picked up grabbing a doll that kinda looked like me, I closed the car door and walked inside, she snuggled into me and once Luke saw her his eyes just light up like a light bulb.
My Grandma is just smiling at me and then pulled out her camera and started to take pictures of me and then she pushed Luke over to me so he was in the photo. I looked at my Grandma trying to think why she was doing this, like why would she make Luke be in the picture. She then made me face Luke, Luke holds me while my little girl is in my arms between us, my Grandma took lots of photos of us like that. Once she was done Luke asked,
"What is her name?" I smiled at my little girl and said,
"Her name is Orcid, I named her after my father's sister, she died in a car crash when she was sixteen and I knew I wanted to name a daughter after her". Luke smiled,
"Hello Orcid your mum is the best person in the world and I know that she will do what she can to be a better mum and I will help since I care about your mum and I know she means a lot to everyone and I will make sure she stays strong," Luke said and I couldn't help but blush. One thing was for sure though was we are closer now, I can't see myself without Luke being by my side, as step-siblings, as friends, or as weird buddies that have problems. We will be by each other's side, I will help him and he helps me and I know he will keep me and Orcid safe and I will stand by his side until the end.
