"This time it better not be a false alarm like last time." J-hope said glaring at Yoongi, who was already seated in a chair reading the file gloomily that Jin hyung had brought with him. One glare of him was enough to make J-hope hyung not tease him anymore.
Jungkook and Jimin arrived at last together taking a seat at the conference room.
"Everyone, I found an article about an incident that happened at our school ten years ago." Jin hyung skipped the formalities and came right to the important matters. Just like I liked meetings. "Teacher of Crane Academy accused of rape." Yoongi read the headlines of the newspaper.
I gulped. Sh#t! Was that the information we were looking for?
Jin hyung summarized the article's content: 10 years ago an incident at our school created a scandal. A young female student called Elise Renard accused the male teacher Mr Schieber of sexual harassment. However noone ever found out about what had happened in reality since Mr Schieber denied the allegations. Due to that the furious girl attacked the teacher making Mr Schieber lose his sight. Now the girl was accused of malicious wounding. The investigators found out about her bipolar disorder and soon the investigations had to be shelved due to a lack of evidence.
"What happened to the girl after that?" Jungkook asked his arms crossed over his chest.
"She killed herself shortly after that." Yoongi responded.
"What about the teacher?" J-hope inquired. His all smiley face had fallen. He was now in serious mode as well as everyone else. If this what the blackmailer had hinted then we had caught a big fish.
"The teacher lost his job and decided to not teach anymore. I did some research on that man. He died two years ago in exclusion in a hospital." Jin hyung sighed. His broad shoulders had fallen due to the depressing matter we discussed.
"If someone seeks revenge because of that scandal then the question is: for whom?" Jimin drawled. "Both of the involved parties are dead. Who would blow that matter up now?" J-hope continued.
"Elise's family? Mr Schieber's family? Did you find anything about them?" I asked kneading my bottom lip.
"Unfortunately not. Mr Schieber left no family behind-" Jin hyung informed before he was cut of by Jennie. "Oppa, according to the journalist in charge of the article Schieber was married once?"
"Yes, but they were divorced long before the scandal and lost contact." Jin confirmed.
"Elise Renard's father abused her, while as her mom was a drug addict. Her parents lost custody from her when she was fifteen. She got into Crane Academy thanks to a scholarship." Jin continued.
"Where do her parents live now?" Yoongi wanted to know. "Elise Renard's parents died due to a drug overdose soon after they lost custody over their daughter."
There was an awkward silence after that.
"Hyung, do you have information about other relatives of Elise Renard?" I interrogated hyung.
"Well, there was a younger brother Edouard Renard..." Jin hyung began. I listened attentively. "However he is also dead..." Jin sighed.
"How so?" Jungkook inquired. "I have no further information on him all I know is that his death was caused by an accident in an orphanage." Jin rubbed his temples.
Was that a dead end?
