Broken Wings

Chapter 14

                     Alex's POV:

I had  no idea from where all this courage came from. But I couldn't stay away from her , I wanted to touch her , smell her hair , I wanted  to feel that she's mine even if it is only for few minutes.

The way she talks , the way she plays with her hair when she's shy , the way she looks at me while I am speaking and the sparkle in her eyes . All that pushed me to turn our favorite music on and offer her my hand for a dance .

" May I have this dance " ? I asked her trying my best to look confident.

She had fear in her eyes , I am not sure why . Part of her wanted to dance , the other part preferred not to . She then gave me a slight smile, held my hand and stood up . Her touch took me back to when I first held her hand in the hallway and felt something indescribable.

Her hand is cold wasn't sure if it's because of the weather or because she was scared . I slowly walked her out onto an empty space in the corner of my office.
Then I slightly pulled her towards me , our eyes met , she's very hard for me to resist, her innocence  is like a magnet to me .
I placed my right hand on the middle of her back , her body was shivering and I was trying to make her feel secure in my arms .

That pain in her eyes came back again she was so into the scene and I was too , I suddenly started to remember everything i went through the last 5 years , all my fights with Jessica,the nights that I've spent drinking and crying at the same time till the sun comes up , all the cheating that happened in our own bed , wasn't feeling anything but my legs swaying and me pressing on a very soft back . If it wasn't for my little Carl nothing would've kept me with that woman , the amount of pain she caused me is much more than all the love she gave me since we met .

I suddenly felt Liza's hand gently on my face, her touch brought me back to the beautiful reality i am living in right now .

" Are you okay ? " she whispered softly.

" I am sorry, didn't realize that the music was over , was so into the scene " I said
while breathing heavily.

I put my hand on top of her hand that was still on my face , rubbing it with my fingers .

" you were amazing , I have a lot to learn from you " she said with a smile .

" You ... "  I took a deep breath , tried to keep my mouth shut but I couldn't,
" You are the most beautiful thing happening to my ugly life " .

I can feel her heartbeats, her hand was getting colder  , I pulled her closer to me , wanted to warm her body, wanted to feel every piece of her touching my body , her eyes were scared and begging at the same time , begging for more of me and I was dying to touch her lips , I would do everything to kiss these lips right now if this will cost me my life , I tried to back off but I couldn't ,  I instead held the back of her neck and kissed her , hungrily.
