Avni's Room

Mere Rang mae Rangne waali
Pari ho ya ho pariyon ke rani

Avni picked up her phone which was ringing....

A(crying)- hello!

Dadi- hello Avni! Avni beta! Bache tuh ro rhi hai kya?! Sab teekh toh hai na? Kisi ne waha kuch bol dia hai kya? Bata mjhe kya hua hai? Tuh ro kyu rahi hai?
(Hello Avni! My child! You are alright na? You seem to be crying? Has anyone told you something? Tell me? Why are you crying?)

A(mumbling, sniffing)- dadi mjhe aadat daal leni chahiye thi na apni pasnd ki cheezon ke bagair rhne ki... Toh phr kyu har baar yh kambhakt dil us bepanah ishq ki chaah karta hai joh uske naseeb ka hi nhi hai! Kyu yh dil ab bhi usse chahta hai... jiske dil ki giraftaari phle se hi ho chuki hai.. kyu nhi smjha pa rhi mai apne is dil ko ki mere naseeb apni muhabbat paana nhi hai.. khushiyan nhi hai !
(I should be habituated na dadi, to libe without things that I can like? Then why is this idiot heart still wanted the same person and that same love? Why does my heart even today beat for a man who's heart has already been captured by someone else.... that i dont have my love in my fate..m nor do I have happiness!!)

D(teary)- yh tuh kya bol rhi hai? Ab tak nhi bhula pa rhi hai tuh Neil ko? Aise kaise chalega Avni ! Tum yh sab krke kitni takleef de rhi ho, mjhe bhi aur apne aap ko bhi ! Tmhe ehsas bhi nhi ho rha ki...
(What are you saying? Haven't you forgotten Neil till now? How will things go on Avni, If you do this way? You troubling both me and yourself!)

A(interupting)- toh kya ab apne dil ki baat aapse bayan krne se aapko pareshan krti hn mai? Maaf krdijiye aap mjhe.. mai phone rkhti hn...
(So now can I not even share the state of my mind with you? Pardo me... i am cutting the call...)

D- arrey lekin Avni, meri baat toh suno... bache mera woh mtlb thodi tha....
(But Avn, atleast listen ti me child... I did'nt mean what you feel...)

Avni disconnected the call and having a nice shower she went to the dining table, she marched outside the house into the garden... where she saw Neil standing with his arms folded... He stood beside the fountain numb and still...

G- Neil
She called out softly...
He turned around to her call and she rushed into his arms, Neil closed his arms and locked her tightly in them... Tears flowed down from both their eyes....

Avni who was sniffing began speaking but Neil kept his finger on her lips.

N- kuch mat bolo abhi! Kch der yuhn hi rhne do... sukoon milta hai...
(No need to say anything right now... pls stay this way for sometime... It feels good...)

And after some time breaking the hug they looked into each others eyes... and both could find tears, which was there due to and for each other...

A- neil... humein maaf krdijiye! Kal hmne aapse bohot zyada batameezi ki thi! Humein pta nhi kya hogya tha lekin humara dimaag kharab hogya tha ! Hum khud ke kaabu mae hi nhi the... pta nhi kyu aise apna aapa kho dia aur aap par gussa nikaala.... aapko itna zyada suna dia... Aur aapne.. aapne humein roka tak nhi? Us hi samay humein rok dete... thappad laga dete aap humein!
(Neil I am sorry... I really am! I do regret the way I behaved with you... I dont really know what had happened to me... Idk why I had lost myself that way! I told you what not and.. you... you didnt even utter a word... why.. why didnt you stop me that very moment? You could have stopped me na? Slapped me?!)

N- chup! Ek alfaz ab aur tmhare muhn se naah nikle... thappad maarne ko bol rhi ho? Yh haq kisi ka bhi nhi hai ki woh meri bawli par haath uthaye! Haath tod dunga mai uska! Aur rhi baat kal ki! Mera bhi dimaag kharab hogya tha jo rishta dhundne lga tere liye... yh toh bhul hi gya ki hm sirf dost hai....
(Shut up! Dare if you utter anything more... you are asking me to slap you? No body has got this right to slap my bawli! If anyone even tries I'll break his hands... And as far as all the happenings of yesterday night are concerned.. I am equally responsible... dont know why I forgot that we are just friends)
