Pinky- ji maaji.. yahin baat puchne ke liye aaj maine call kia tha aapko... Vidyut aur Avni ki rishte waali baat ko aage brhane ke liye.. mai jaanti hn ki aap bhuli nhi hongi kyuki kuch din pehle bhi aapse is baare mae meri baat hui thi par yaad dilana toh mera farz tha na! Aapne humse bola tha ki aapko time chahiye.. humne aapko 3 saal de diye.. lekin ab mjhse aur intezar nhi hoga mai apni beti ko apne saath ghar laana chahti hn...
(yes mom... I had called for a final confirmation from you.. For taking forward Vidyut and Avnis alliance... I know that you haven't forgotten about it as we had talked about it a few days back!  But still I felt that reminding you was my duty as I wish to bring my daughter home soon...  I have already waited for 3 yrs )

D- haan haan pinky beta mjhe sab ache se yaad hai.. tumne phone kia tha na abhi kuch din phle.. maine sabse, Avni se bhi baat krli hai... sab is rishe ke liye razi hai..
(yes pinky dear I remember everything well... I have talked to everyone and everyone including Avni have said a yes for the alliance)

P- toh phr hum jhat pat sagai ki date bhi nikaal lete hai? Mjhe brhi jaldi hai Avni ko apne yahan laane ki.. apni bahu nhi beti banakr...
Phr hum sagai 7 din mae rkhte hai? Pandittji ne yeh sabse phli mahurat nikali hai...
(so then let's decide the date for the engagement soon? I wish to have Avni at my house as soon as possible... Let's keep the engagement 7 days later as suggested by panditji)

D- haan haan kyu nahi  Pinky beta.. chalo mai phone rkhti hn...

(I have skipped Pinky and dadi's earlier convo becauz I feel giving so much unwanted details will just bore you people...)

And the phone declined...

N- mjhe toh ab bhi yakeen nhi aarha hai ki Avnii ne is rishte ke liye haami bhar di hai...
(I still cannot believe that Avni is ready for this marriage )

D- yeh toh kitni achi baat hai na Neil? Mjhe toh lgta hai shayad Vidyut hi tha Avni ki kismat mae tabhi toh in 3 saalon mae Avni ka rishta kahin bhi nahi hua! Ali ka itna acha rishta aaya tha aur wahan bhi Avn ki baat aage nhi brhi thi.... aur ab 7 din mae uski sagai bhi ho jayegi
(this is such a good news na Neil?  I now feel that Vidyut was the one in Avnis fate this is why all through the three years she didn't get hooked up with anyone else.... Such a good alliance of Ali also couldn't go forward... And now just within three days she'll be engaged )

Swarna- sirf 7 din.. bohot planning bhi krni hai mjhe ab toh ... waise bilkul sach keh rhi hai mummy ji... mai bohot khush hn apni bachi ke liye..
(To Neil)- beta tum teekh toh ho na?! Tmhara chehra itna utra hua kyu hai? Koi baat hui hai kya?

N- Nhi mom kuch nhi hua hai.. mai bas bohot thak gya hn aaj apne room mae ja rha hn...
(no mom nothing has happened... It's just that I am too tired... I am going to my room)

He stood up and moved while the rest for sometime were confused about his behaviour but then soon forgot about. Avni who sat with them, was very happy to see her family once again smiling whole heartedly. It was after Juhi's death as if someone had eaten up their happiness, but now with her marriage talkings everyone was once again smiling.

N(teary)- yeh mjhe kya ho rha hai? Bawli ki shaadi ki baat sunkar toh mjhe khush hona chahiye... toh phir kyu mai chahkr bhi khush nhi ho pa rha hn? Kyu naah chahte hue bhi mere ankhein aansu baha rhi hai? Apni dost ki khushiyon mae hi toh dusre ki khushi likhi hoti hai.. aur mjhe dekho khush ho hi nhi pa rha hn..
Mere saath bhalla aisa kyu ho rha hai! Kya mae apni aur Juhi ki shadi ko yaad kr rha hn?
Lekin.. lekin mera dimag toh humari shaadi ko yaad kr hi nhi rha.. toh kya yeh mere dil ki tadpan hai, jo in aansuon se bayan ho rhi hai?
(what is happening to me?  I should be happy that my bawli is getting married but then why even if want I am not being able to be happy?  Why even if I don't want i have tears in my eyes ... One should be happy in his friends happiness but just look at me I am not being able to be happy!
Why is it happening?  Am i remembering my marriage with Juhi?.
Bu... Butt I don't have anything such in my brain... Is it the pain of my heart which is coming out in the form of these tears)

N- Bhagwanji.. aap pls meri bawli ko duniya bhar ki saari khushiyan dena... usse meri tarah badnaseeb mat banayega! Usne bohot dukh dekha hai zindagi mae pehle bhi.. ab mai chahta hun ki woh khush rahhe... mere saath humesha khush rahe...
(lord.. Pls provide my bawli with all the happiness one can have .. Don't make her an unlucky person like me....  She had already seen too much in life and now it's time that she gets taste of happiness too... I hope she forever remains happy with me)

(I.. I meant that may Vidyut and Avni always remain happy)

Vidyut: Mom are you out of your mind?!! Aapne sagai ki baat krdi hai un logon se bina mjhse puche ki meri is shaadi ke baare mae kya raye hai?
(Mom are you out of your mind?!! You have talked about my engagement without even having a word with me?!!)

Pinky: ab mai tmse baar baar kya puchu beta? 3 saal phle tumne haan ki thi na is rishte ke liye.. maine toh bas baat ko aage brhadi hai bass....
(what will I ask you again and again...  3 yrs back you were ready for it ain't you! I just took it forward thats it)

Vid: Mom mai yeh shaadi nhi kr skta hn.. Kyuki hum legally srf ek baar shaadi kr skti hai..
(mom I cannot do this marriage as legally a person can marry just once)

P(laughing)- Vidyut tuh bhi bohot funny hogya hai! Maine bhi tjhse ek hi shaadi krne boli hai.. koi 50s shaadi krna ko kahan bola hai!!
(Vidyut you have also become too funny! I have asked you to marry once and not 50 times!)

Vid: Mom dekhiye mai jaanta hn ki yeh sunkar aapko apni zindagi ka sabse beha shock lgne wala hai lekin mai shaadi shuda hn..

P- haan haan beta mjhe pta hai tune apni kaali coffee se shaadi krli hai! Aaj toh tuhh ekdm jokings shokings ke mood mae hai....

I am a married man.. meri shaadi ho chuki hai 3 saal phle Alia se, mera ek 3 saal ka beta bhi hai aur ek aur bacha aane waala hai duniya mae....
Meri apni ek duniya hai.. apne beewi bache hai..  mai shaadi nhi kr skta Avni se...
(mom I am in no mood of jokings... But my words will definitely give you shockings...
I am a married man.. It's been 3 yrs to my marriage with Alia ... I have a son of 3 yrs and I have another baby on the way
I have a world of my own.. My own wife and children and I cannot marry Avni )

P: tuh kya chahta hai ki saare khandaan ke saamne mera mazak banne?! Sab log mjhpr thuu thuu kare? Phle toh kisi musalman se shadi krli tumne aur ab 2 bachon ke baap bankr mjhe yeh bata rhe ho!
Khaan kholkar sunlo Vidyut tumhari shaadi Avni se hi hogi.. maine apni zubaan dedi hai sbko..
Ab mai peeche nhi hat skti...
Apni beewi bachon ka kya krna hai tum smjh lena.. lkn mjhe woh sab tmhari shaadi ke beech aate nazar na aaye...
(what do you want that infront of the entire world your mom should get humiliated... People will throw arrows of harsh words at me. 1st you married a Muslim girl and now you tell me that you are a father of two...
Open your ears and listen to me carefully Vidyut.. You will be married to Avni and that's final... I have already given them a word)

V- aap smjh kyu nhi rhi hai Mom? Shaadi do logon ke beech hoti hai.. pati aur patni.. hum dono muhabbat krte hai ek duje se.. kya yeh kaafi nhi hai hum dono ke saath rhne ke liye??!
(why are you not understanding mom marriage takes place between two people... Husband and wife... We both love each other and according to us that's enough to live with one another)

P: tjhe duniya ka ek bohot brha sach batau mai Vidyut? Shaadi ladka aur ladki ke beech zaroor hoti hai.. magar zindagi bhar saath mae saas bahu ko rhna hota hai... isliey ladka ladki ki banne ya naah banne lekin saas bahu ki na banne toh ghar mae toofan aaskta hai... ghar wahi ke wahi toot skte hai.... isleiy keh rhi hn sharafat se taiyyar ho ja... 7 din mae teri sagai hai...
( I'll tell you one of the biggest truth of life shivay.... Though marriage takes place between a guy and a girl... But life time a mother in law and daughter in law stay together within the same roof.... That is why a girl and guy bond or not doesn't matter that much but a mother and daughter in law must bond otherwise it will bring a huge storm... A house can break down then and there... So get ready for your engagement... )
