Chapter 2

Graduation was most definitely the longest period in my life. after the five different speeches and the thousands of name called, three hours later it was finally over. At least Brittany and I left as soon we walked across the stage. Walking towards the exit, I was beyond relieved that it was all over.

When we got to the exit, a weave of graduates were already outside looking for loved ones. The crowd of people made me uncomfortable and anxious to get away from it all.

"Do you see your folks around here" said Brittany breaking me out of my thoughts

Looking from left to right, I didn't see my family anywhere close. When I turn my head to the right for the second time, I saw him. James was getting into a black limo looking as though he was looking for someone. Unbuttoning his suite jacket, his head turned in my direction. It was as if he saw straight through me with his bedroom blue eyes.

Tilting his head to the side, he smirked at me and winked before finally getting into the car. Although I would normally hate any type of cocky guy thinking that I was under some type of spell to be obsessed with them. Somehow when James did it, it was as if I was being seduced. It was like he knew I wanted him. The games had begun for him.

"Hello! Is anybody there. Chloe!" Brittany said spanning her fingers

"I'm sorry I zoned out. what did you say?"

Smirking at me and crossing her arms she said "You were not zoning out! you were looking at the hottie James as he got into his car."

"I was looking for my family and he came into view. But I wasn't looking at him."

"Uh huh honey, sure. remember I'm not judging you here. Just be careful. Us friends have to stay together and look out." Brittany said smiling and winking at me.

Looking at her I felt I had somehow made a friend in college after just finishing college. I saw the irony in it, after all these years of isolating myself throughout my whole college career I got the friend.

"Chloe!" said my dad as he rushed over to me hugging me as tight as he could "Baby girl I'm so proud of you. you finally did it. I love you Chloe and congrats" he said kissing my forehead.

"Dad don't go getting all emotional now. I will start crying too" I said when I saw tears starting to build in his eyes

"I know kiddo but your old man can't seem to help it"

"Dad, you have to man up. These college chicks around here are going to question my manliness. But congrats big sis." Said Chris while he put his arm around my shoulder.

Throwing my head back I laughed at him I said, "Thanks Chris. For the record no one will question your manliness."

"I hope not. But who is your friend right here. The names Christopher but everyone calls me Chris." Extending his hand to Brittany.

Looking at his hand, Brittany smirked and shaking his hand, "The names Brittany. but everyone calls me Britt."

"The pleasure is all mines Britt. Lovely name for a lovely lady"

Rolling her eyes Jen came from behind our dad and said "Little boy please stop. This girl does not want you near her. I'm Jen by the way and this is my dad Richard."

"Hi Jen and Mr. Richard, nice to meet you guys. Your right he is on little side." said making everyone laugh but Chris.

"Hey where is Sofia?" I asked looking around for her.

"Oh you know Sofia knows like everyone in New York. She was talking to some guy before we found you" said Jen

"Jennifer Williams! Is that how you go talking about your family" said Sofia being overly dramatic.
