"Come on, let's go save the kids." You gestured for Kakashi to follow you.

He snapped out of his daze, nodding as he finally comprehended your words. You both raced down the path to Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura to find the blue haired man tied around a tree with the chain of his own kusarigama.

Sasuke went straight up to the man, demanding who he was. "What's your name, who do you work for and why do you guys want Lady Akiko?"

The man laughed before spitting in Sasuke's face. The boy wiped it away, completely unfazed.

"The name's Seto. I work for Lord Ryokucha, the rightful heir to the Land of Tea. He wants the lovely Lady Akiko because her father has stolen his throne. If he marries Akiko, he inherits the country." He struggled against the chain, snarling at the dark haired boy in front of him.

Sasuke stared him down. "You've failed. Lady Akiko will not be wedding your lord anytime soon."

Seto laughed hysterically. "That's what you think! But there are more of us than you know. You may have taken down Takahiro and Hebi, but you can't kill us all!!!" His eyes darted everywhere, his cheek twitching uncontrollably. "You're all gonna die! Hahahaha!!!" He smashed the back of his head against the tree, over and over again.

You all watched in horror as the man continued to laugh, the sound of his skull cracking as he went still.

"Death's inevitable, dumbass." You grumbled at Seto's body.

Sasuke took a step back, turning away from the body. "Where's Akiko?" He asked.

"I know where she is." You said. Everyone watched as you walked into the woods to the tree the lady was hiding behind.

"Aghhh!!!!" A war cry sounded as Lady Akiko lunged at you with kunai in hand.

"Hey, it's just me." You said calmly, twirling around the woman to dodge her blade. She recognized you and immediately dropped the kunai, falling to the ground in a shaking heap.

You bent down and patted her shoulder. "You're okay, everything's okay. Those crazy guys are dead."

She looked up at you with her honey gold eyes, sparkling with tears. "I-I was so afraid. I heard s-screaming and laughing a-and... and-"

"Shhhh. You're safe now. It's all over." You wrapped her in a hug as a means to comfort her. The woman sobbed into your shoulder, clutching your back.

You sighed and picked her up bridal style, walking back over to the rest of your team. All of their eyes widened in surprise to see Lady Akiko in your arms.

"(Y/N), do you want me to-"

"I can handle her, Kakashi."

"But you're wounded." The silver haired man gestured to the wound on your side.

You shook your head. "It's fine, the bleeding stopped. We just need to focus on finding a place to stay for the night."

Kakashi nodded slowly, turning to look at his students. "Alright, guys. Let's keep going. There should be an inn farther down the road."

Everyone nodded as you all set off. You passed Takahiro's body, crumpled on the ground. Hebi was nowhere to be seen.

Thirty minutes of silence passed as you all continued down the path. Lady Akiko was asleep in your arms, dirt and tears streaking her soft face. All of your team members were positioned around you and the sleeping beauty protectively.
