You woke up to sunshine streaming through a crack in your curtain. As yawned, feeling a solid warmth behind you.
Your eyes widened as you realized what it was, well, more of who it was.
Kakashi was lying behind you, his even breath on your nape and his arm wrapped around your waist. You blushed a bright red, not daring to move.
You felt safe there, in his arms. You felt complete. Especially after what went down that night. You looked down, realizing you weren't wearing any clothes. The only thing covering you was a sheet. You lifted your head to glance back at Kakashi, noticing the vast amount of bare skin he had on display.
You looked away, flustered to be in such close proximity to him in this strange situation.
You dropped your head back onto the pillow, staring at the wall in thought. It never occurred to you that you could end up in this situation. Even a month ago, you would've never dreamed of actually finding someone special in Konoha. All you wanted was to find help.
That's right, you had to talk to Lady Tsunade about your country's current situation. It was likely that she would help, seeing as the Council was committing crimes against humanity. But there was always the chance that she would refuse to help. Maybe she wouldn't want Konoha to get involved with foreign affairs, just like with the Land of Tea.
You sighed in exasperation, worried if perhaps your means of securing a place in this safe village was in vain. What if you returned home with no help? What would the others think?
You forgot to mention it to Kakashi last night, but you were part of a secret organization set on taking the Council down. There was only a dozen of you, spread across the entire country, so it wasn't like you could seize the Hidden Night Village on your own. You had brought it upon yourself to find help from an outside source, a country known for providing assistance to most people in need- the Land of Fire. When you first left the Land of Shadows, you were worried that the Council had found out about your rebellion and would send a team of Nightmares after you.
Nightmares, were the equivalent to Anbu, a secret police set on keeping order within the country. They were known for snuffing out any rumors of rebellion, an elite force with no mercy. Ever since you were a child, you were taught to never speak poorly of the Council. Many times in your life had people gone missing, never to be seen again. The blacksmith, the gardener, the cook, all gone without a trace. What happened to them, you would probably never know.
You felt Kakashi's warm breath on your neck as he sighed, his hand pulling you closer in towards him. You heard him rustling around, groaning as he began to wake. You blushed again, remembering the current situation you were in.
As he began to grumble to himself, you realized that something was off about yourself, you felt like you were too exposed. Not just because you were completely naked- oh shit. Your eyes. Kakashi's headband seemed to have fallen off at some point in the night, leaving nothing to block your eyes.
Before Kakashi could see your face, you sealed your eyes shut.
"(Y/N)?" The silver haired man mumbled as he sat up. You heard his even breath above you.
"I'm awake, just so you know." You responded, knowing that he was probably analyzing your face.
He grumbled in response as he caressed your cheek with his hand. You leaned into his touch, craving it almost. You wished you could stay like this with him forever, but you had more important matters at hand.
"Kakashi?"
"Hmmm?" The man responded lazily as he stroked your cheek.
"Aren't we supposed to train the kids today?"
