Chapter 14 - more than friends?

When I hugged him that day I felt something. Cato is a great guy. Am I really falling for him? I am really honest with my feelings and I can say if I like someone. But Cato makes me nervous and he gives me flaming red cheeks when we hug. I don't know if he feels the same way. But I want him to know that I like him.
-Cato, do you want to have a sleepover at my house? I say. He looked a little chocked but smiles.
-Yeah that would be great! But...isn't it weird that I like sleep at you?
-What do you mean we had a sleepover with Glimmer and Marvel.
-Yeah, But then we were more people and we all were dating someone so it wasn't weird. He says.
-It won't be weird, trust me. I've had many guy friends who I have had sleepovers with! My parents are familiar. I say and laugh s little.
-Okay. If your okay with it then I am too! He says and smiles.

**DING DONG**
-Okay Mom don't be awkward now. He's just a friend like the other guys that have been here.
-Yea, yea I know. But since your single...
I open the door.
-Hey Clove! He says
-Hi! I say.
-Hey Miss Kentwell. Cato says and shakes hand with my mom.
-Hello dear, and call me Octavia please.
I show him to my room.
-So, I sleep in my bed and you sleep on a mattress on the floor?
-Okay! He says.
-Okay now that we have that in our way. Now for the hard question...what snacks are we going to have? Potato chips or candy?
He laughs.
-Um I don't know. I like both of them. You choose.
-Okay! I pick...both!
We laugh again.

We're sitting and watching a movie. Cato suddenly puts his arm around me. I get flaming red cheeks. I look at him. He is cute.
-Oh I'm sorry...did I take it to far? He says and looks embarrassed.
-No not at all! I say.
-Okay Good. Wouldn't it be awkward if I did? He says.
-Yeah...But you didn't...In fact I do want to say that I like you a little...
Yep! I said it. My cheeks are burning and I see that Cato's cheeks are flaming red as well.
-Oh...yea. I like you to Clove...
-You do? I say.
-Yeah...I didn't knew it until u hugged me on the bowling...
-Me neither. I say.
-So...what are we doing now? He says.
-I don't know. Boyfriend and girlfriend? I ask.
-Yeah. He says.
I look him in the eyes. He is really cute. I am sorry Glimmer and Marvel if we break your hearts now. But you broke ours as well. We look into each other's eyes for what feels like ages until we move our heads slowly against each other's and our lips meet. When we pull away I hug and cuddle him. He is a better kisser than Marvel. He is just great in every single way!
