Daughter of Blue Diamond (Reader insert)

Part 30

(Y/n) was walking around the forest to have some alone time. She was just humming to herself as she walked deeper and deeper into the forest. (Y/n) stopped and sat on a log as she took a break from walking. She closes her eyes as she lets her ears listen to the wondrous sounds of nature. Soon, those sounds were interrupted by a strange noise in the bushes. She steps away from her seat and summons her weapon.
Emerging from the bushes was a lone wolf. A female to be exact. She was at least three inches shorter than Lion. The wolf stared at (Y/n) as she puts away her weapon. (Y/n) looked down at the wolf's paw and saw she was injured.
"You're hurt!" (Y/n) moved towards the wolf.
The wolf growled at her, which caused (Y/n) to step back. (Y/n) was now determined to help this creature. She ripped a piece of her blue shirt.
'Later, I have to ask Pearl to help me stitch my clothes.' She thought to herself
She tried to walk closer to the wolf again, but it still growled at her.
"It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." (Y/n) said in a calming voice. She gently grabs the wolf's paw and wraps the cloth around her wound.
The wolf showed her gratitude to (Y/n) by nuzzling her face. (Y/n) laughed at the affection she was receiving and scratched the wolf behind her ears. (Y/n) looks up and saw that the sun was setting.
"Looks like I have to go." (Y/n) stood up and begins to walk. The wolf starts the follow her, which (Y/n) didn't mind.
The finally reached the end of the forest. The wolf stopped in her tracks. (Y/n) knees down and scratches the wolf's head. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Days have gone by as (Y/n) spend her free time with the wolf she's met. She even named her Wolf, similar to Lion. She later introduced Wolf to Steven and Lion. Steven took a quick liking to Wolf and Lion was comfortable with having Wolf as a sleeping buddy.
One day, (Y/n) was laying down on the grass as Wolf laid her head on (Y/n)'s stomach. Wolf sensed something was coming. Her ears perked up and heard a hissing sound. Wolf saw a snake slithering towards (Y/n). Wolf growled and bark at the snake. (Y/n) rises up at the sudden noises behind her and saw that Wolf was fighting the snake.
The snake took a bit at Wolf's leg. Wolf whimpers at the pain from her leg, but she shrugs it off and slashes the snake away. Once the snake was gone, (Y/n) ran up to Wolf and examined her leg.
"You saved me." (Y/n) whispered. She places her hand on Wolf's leg. All of a sudden, a blue glow shined from (Y/n)'s hands. She slowly removes her hands away and saw that Wolf's injury was gone. She has healing powers!
"I have healing powers!" (Y/n) hugs Wolf as her furry companion barks in joy. "I have to tell the others!" (Y/n) stood up and waved goodbye for now at Wolf.
What they both didn't know that something horrible, yet excited will happen to them.
