Akari POV:

We continued to talk, well it's not about me now. Thank lord it got awkward and I didn't feel like talking anymore. My past is in the past, I have to move on but sometimes, I can't forget the fact that you can't always move on.

Suddenly I noticed something behind us and I turned around. Gon and Killua did the same.

It was nobody there.

"Is something wrong?" A voice called out from the other side.

It was the The Chairman, Netero-san talking. He began walking towards us.

"When did he.." I began.

"Ah, Netero-san. Did you see anyone coming from that side." Gon cut me off.

"No." The Chairman answered.

"You're pretty fast for an old man." Killua said

'Not just any old man though..' I thought.

"That little trick? I barely moved." He replied.

"What do you want? You don't have to do anything until the last phase." Killua asked.

"No need to be so unkind, I got bored and I went looking for some companions." He answered.

"By the way, I meant to ask the three of you, on your thoughts of your first attempt of the Hunter Exam." He asked.

"Uh-huh! It's fun! And there haven't been any of the written exams I've been dreading." Gon replied with a smile.

"I'm disappointed, I expected the exam to be far more difficult." Killua answered coldly.

"On my opinion, the challenge of each phase is interesting. But also quite easy." I answered.

Killua quickly cut the chatting and began to leave.

"Let's go Gon. Akari." He said as he turned and walked the other way.

"Now wait just a moment." The Chairman began.

"Would you like to play a game with me?" He asked.

"A game?" Gon questioned.

"If you play, I'll let you three become Hunters!" He added.

"Really? I'll play!" Gon replied excited.

"I'll catch up with you guys later." I said as I began to walk away.

~Small Timeskip~

I sat down and hugged my knees as I looked out the window.

I felt my eyes tearing up.

'Damn it.. Why now?'

I couldn't help it anymore it was flowing out.

I don't know why. It always happened when I thought about my family.

I guess its too painful, but at one point I wasn't alone. They took care of me and I left them because I wanted to reach my goal.

Then I heard a familiar voice.

"Akari?.." Out of all the people, it was Killua.

I quickly wiped my tears the looked up.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Shouldn't you be with Gon or something?" I continued.

"You've been acting weird, so I came to check up on you." He said.

"I'm fine, you don't need to." I answered.

"You don't look fine." He continued.

I just looked away.

"You know, you shouldn't be hiding yourself all the time." He said.

"Besides, you're not alone." He finished

I got up and looked at him again.

"Killua. Thank you.. For coming.." I said.

"W-what's with the sudden change?" He stuttered.

"I guess you changed my mind." I said with a slight smile.

~Another Timeskip~

No Ones POV:

Back to our story, Gon, Killua and Akari are in the gym, ready to play the game.

"Now, I will explain the rules." The Chairman began.

"If you get the ball from me before we reach the destination, you win." He said.

"I believe we reach the destination at 8am, so that gives you 9 hours to do so." He continued.

"You are free to attack however you like. I will not touch you." He concluded.

"Eh? You can't call that a game, it's to easy." Said Gon.

"Why don't you try it first?" The Chairman challenged.

"We just have to take the ball?" Killua asked.

"Yeah." The Chairman replied.

"Then, I'll go first." Killua said.

"Go ahead." The Chairman said

Killua started to walk around him, making a bunch of illusions of himself walking as well.

"I see lots of Killuas!" Gon said surprised.

"An illusion?" Akari asked.

After a short while, Killua started to attack Netero but missed everytime.

Killua stopped and then launched himself to kick the chairman's leg.

"Ouch.. Right on the pivot leg." Gon said

"Strong.." Said Akari.

Netero seemed to have no affect but Killua was the one who got hurt.

"Ow!" Killua shouted while holding his leg jumping up and down.

"Killua! Tag! Tag! It's my turn!" Gon shouted.

"Eh? Not fair!" Akari said unhappy.

As the two high five, Gon was stretching before he attacked.

Killua POV:

(A/n I wanted to try it out xD)

Damn, his legs were hard as iron. Is he really an old man?

Anyways, it's Gon's turn now. I stood beside Akari and watched.

Gon broke into a fast sprint towards the old man. Then he jumped which the old man's guard was caught off.

"Fast.." I heard Akari say.

He jumped too high and hit the ceiling.

"Ow!" Gon yelled as he held he's head

"Ouch, that looked like that hurt." I heard her say too.

"Idiot! We know that you can jump really high! Control your strength!" I shouted.

"For a moment, Netero-san relaxed his guard!" Akari added.
