Lookin' around my room,
it feels so lonely without
any kind of tune.
I don't like monotonous grooves,
but I need
to fall asleep
with the fan on.
Do you think
the screaming
in my sleep
is a warning
that we should heed?
At first, this house seemed new,
and you seemed like somebody who
would come to understand me
and how I'm always operating.
Just give it a few months-
You'll turn out to be another one
who'll prove me the fool,
when I lose my cool,
and you walk away
thinking all the same
cliches that people have said
about ex-boyfriends
and how their worth nobody's time.
I guess frustration doesn't suit me,
I guess I'll have to be alright-
'guess I'm not allowed to feel
anything but a smile.
