This school is full of kids,
stuck in their cliques,
saying they don't belong anywhere
but doing nothing about it!
We say we love the environment-
God damn it,
I'll bleed red, white, and carbon!
The stuff in the air-
Is it making us go crazy?
They say college is a place
to begin your next phase of changing,
but all I see are kids-
A reflection of myself,
and I thought I was smarter than this,
but I'm so scared, can't you tell?
Streets by the highway
once gave me comfort,
but now they
seem too expensive
and the only future
that I might have a shot at
is the digital screen
that sits in front of me
and says goodnight
every night, like it already knows
who I wanna be.
