Zane took as much comfort as his brothers would give him. It was so much that he was almost overwhelmed when Garroth called him over, Vylad resting on the blondies lap asleep and peaceful. Overwhelming to the point where he began to tear up when he rested his head on his big brother's shoulder, allowing him to wrap his arms around him.

For a moment, he thought he could remember this when he was younger. The warmth and love that radiated off of both Garroth and Vylad were faintly familiar but he couldn't remember anything. Frustrated, he ignored it and leaned more into his brother as he only tightened his embrace. It was then that Zane noticed that Garroth rarely slept and always kept his gaze on the cell door.

The blonde would always stop humming when he heard the smallest sound and defensively pulled Vylad and Zane closer.

Like...

'Like he was afraid something would come and drag us away...'

"Are you not tired?" Garroth asked softly, running his fingers through Vylad's hair.

Zane kept his eye on the ground and shook his head slowly. Sure, he felt extremely exhausted but that was the majority of his body. In fact, his limbs and torso were just tired of the agonizing pain so what was the point of sleeping when he knew there was a certainty he'd wake from either a nightmare or striking pain.

Garroth glanced down at his brother and gave him an apologetic smile, "I'm not really a healer, sorry."

"It's alright..." Zane hesitated before looking at Garroth curiously, "What does Sebastian test you on? If, uh, you're okay with talking about it..."

Silence filled the room though Zane didn't feel uncomfortable or like he crossed the line. His blue eye studied his brother as Garroth reached up to his shoulder and slipped the gray button up down to reveal the skin there.

His collarbone was littered with scars that read "Project Strength". Zane subconsciously lifted his hand to his own cheek and traced the scars there. To Sebastian, he was known as Project Weakness and he wondered which was worse.

"Sebastian usually pairs me up with people to see how I react in combat when someone I care about is in danger."

Zane's gaze flickers over to the sleeping Vylad and widens his eyes, "Has he used him against you...?"

With clenched fist, he shakes his head, "Not yet... He's been planning too but not until you were fully trained so he could use the both of you at the same time."

"Who has he..?"

"Laurance... but what Sebastian did wasn't right." Anger seeped through his brother's voice. "He knows I have inhuman strength..."

Nodding slightly, Zane decided not to push the topic and smiled at Garroth who only softened his expression and smiled back.

It was a silent conversation.

It was a silent apology.

For what had happened to their family.

For not remembering what had happened to them.

But maybe now, Zane could fix what his mind could not remember...

Sebastian raised the metal gate that separated him and the new project. The only you could here was his own footsteps and the sound of ragged breaths combined with almost pathetic whimpers.

On the ground laid the blue haired male, hugging himself tightly as his skin seemed paler than usual. It contrasted with the blood covering his mouth and hands.

"So," Sebastian began, kneeling down to meet the project's dead eyes. "Are you gonna try to bite me again?"

"Shut the fuck up, Sebasti-"

"Still pretty pissed off, I see." Gently he grabbed the dead cold face of the project and examined his eyes.

Instantly, he was startled when his hands were pushed away harshly and blue eyes staring at him. It took a minute for Sebastian to adjust to the sudden strength that the other had.

He shook his head and furrowed his eyebrows as he placed his hand on the base of his forehead. A sigh left past his lips and thought over the consequences of doing this. Doing what he did to Subject Forty...

"Why did you do this to me? I was human! Normal and now what? How long has it been since I've begun turning?" The project had tears trailing down his cheeks but the anger never softened. "You made me one of your projects! I would rather die as a subject than this!"

Sebastian rolled his eyes and forcefully grabbed the other's hands, making sure not to hurt him.

"Calm down, Fort-..." The taller male paused and hesitated for a moment as he debated queitly in his mind.

Scoffing coldly, the blue headed one glared at Sebastian. "What? Is it hard not to call me subject forty anymore? What am I to you- Fucking, Project 83 now?"

Sebastian lowered his gaze towards the floor before opening his mouth to say something, "Dante... You're Dante to me, alright? Now please calm down so I'm not forced to hurt you."

He watched as Dante faltered with wide eyes and an expression possibly no one could read. Then he allowed the other male to relax as he examined his eyes carefully, the silence killing them both.

"Is that my name..? Dante?"

"Yes." Both of them stayed on the ground, staring blankly at each other. In just a few minutes, Sebastian began to stand up and took the steps he needed to reach the door.

"But why did you do it?" Sebastian stopped and let his eyes stay trained to the cracked open door. "I agreed to be here as a subject. I didn't want to become something like this."

When the scientist didn't say a word, Dante only continued with his exhausted voice. "You broke our agreement, Sebastian. I didn't want to know who I was, I just wanted a purpose to be anywhere..."

"Don't lie to yourself, P-83." He turned his attention to Dante and shook his head,

"You always wanted to know who you were, really. Everyone wants to know who they were before they woke up here... Everyone."
