Sad eyes.

No smile.

Travis has always noticed how Sebastian began to falter, every second he thought no one could tell it was only more noticeable. Who cares? Right?

He didn't deserve to be pitied and he wouldn't be as long as Sebastian's story stayed unknown because Travis himself couldn't bare it. The idea that someone in this facility could have the ability to forgive a man as Sebastian angered him.

But...

How was the demon any different?

Travis let this all happen. He wasted his one opportunity to save everyone a long time ago. Now he had to face the one person he wanted to suffer and yet knew he already was suffering.

"I'm assuming you'd like to see, Project Two."

Travis let his mouth stay shut and gazed at the other male with a sharp glare. Clenching his first when Sebastian wasn't fazed by it.

"You'll be able to see him during P-83's training." The other moved as he spoke, unwrapping the bloody bandages on his hand.

Travis eyed the wounds that covered his knuckles, dark bruising and irritation around it. He hated how he felt even the slightest bit of worry.

He hated how he stood up without thinking and walked over to Sebastian, quietly asking if he could see the damage up close.

"What happened? Finally had to hit someone because they stood up to you?" Travis muttered out coldly and brushed his finger around the bruised wounds.

Sebastian only scowled and glared slightly, "Laurance decided to attack me after I told him how weak P-4 was."

It was almost tempting to ask what exact things he said about Garroth though he wasn't in the mood to argue. Instead, he grabbed a new roll of bandages and used a damped cloth Sebastian prepared beforehand to clean up the dried blood.

"So you punched him?" He glanced at the other's face, noticing the frustration that lingered in his expression. "And his face did this to your hand?"

"Don't be idiotic, one punch cannot do this to my hand. Attacking me only led to a fight that caught me off guard." He started harshly, Travis felt a slight fear run through him but moved to wrap the bandages around his hand.

There was a spark of comfort as he did this, maybe not as strong as the small amount of fear however it was there. The fond memory of his own father wrapping bandages around Sebastian's arm was pleasant.

At least it was when he was younger because all he wanted was for his father to be happy and finally he was with someone that did make him happy. Sebastian was always there, grumpy or cheerful he just was there to make everyone happy.

Then his father wanted to do more research.

Find out things no one else can without a willing volunteer. Without the kids he kidnapped, and the wait for their lives to change into a developed monster, maybe everything could've been normal. There would be no test.

Sebastian, his father and himself could be happy and yet he still felt selfish.

If his father- no, if they never started this messed up research facility then how could Travis have the chance to meet Zane in the first place...?
