Chapter 9: Hanging Murphy

That night while everyone slept a grounder had killed Wells outside the camp while he was on watch. Octavia had spoken to Sawyer first thing in the morning and they made up, Octavia apologizing for the way she acted

"Yes we did it" Sawyer smirked as she smiled at Monty. Sawyer was back to helping Monty make the radio from the wristbands

Clarke had just taken off her wrist band for Monty and Sawyer to use it. "The wristband is still operational we need to work fast" Sawyer instructed Monty as she placed it down next to their set up

"My Mother thinking i'm dead is only temporary" Sawyer heard Clarke say from behind her. "Not if I can't patch it through the drop ship main frame, those wires are still fried up there" Monty corrected 

"I can do it, we'll be talking to the ark by nightfall" Sawyer confirmed patting Monty's shoulder

"Ok Monty you keep fixing this panel i'm gonna go check on Peta and then i'm going to go fix those wires on the top of the drop ship" Monty nodded as Sawyer dropped the tool she had in her hand on the floor before walking out the drop ship

Everyone had been going to work building the wall that would surround the camp. Sawyer had walked up to Peta and Charlotte who were tying pieces of wood together

Bellamy held back a smile as he watched Sawyer interact with the 2 girls. One of them had told a joke causing them all to break into a fit of laughter

Bellamy watched as Sawyer threw her head back her smile bigger than any he's ever seen. Right next to them a kid had fallen dropping a big piece of wood

Sawyer knelt down next to him "Hey are you alright?" she asked placing her hand on his shoulder. Before he could respond Murphy started yelling

"Hey! You think the Grounders are just gonna sit around, and wait for us to finish the wall? Maybe we should let the little girl do the lifting for you, huh?" Sawyer rolled her eyes as she stared up at Murphy in disgust

"I just need some water, ok? Then i'll be fine" the kid said breathing heavy. Sawyer looked at him sadly

"Murphy, get this guy some water" Bellamy instructed coming up next to them. Murphy rolled his eyes before walking off while Sawyer stood up

"Hey you got this?" Bellamy asked looking to Charlotte, Sawyer shook her head "I got it Charlotte don't worry" she smiled. Sawyer reached to lift the tree only for Bellamy to stop her

"Hey, I'm just kidding" Sawyer blushed nervously "Ok pretty boy show me what you got" Bellamy lifted the tree smirking at Sawyer laughing she followed him

"So beautiful did you get some rest?" Bellamy asked as he placed the tree down

"Yes, thank you for helping me, and Pea told me that you tucked her in so thanks for that" Bellamy groaned "I told her not to tell anyone" he said rubbing his face. Sawyer laughed as they turned to walk back

"Sawyer! Bellamy!" Octavia yelled running towards them out of breath "Woah woah, slow down O" Bellamy said stabilizing the frantic girl "Come on you got to see this" Octavia grabbed Sawyer's hand before running off. Bellamy and Sawyer looked at each other confused

Jasper, Octavia, Clarke, Sawyer and Bellamy were now in a tent, a table in the middle with 2 fingers on top, Wells fingers

"This knife was made of metal from the drop ship" Sawyer said observing it. "What do you mean?" Octavia asked confused as she stared at the girl

"Who else knows about this?" Bellamy asked "No one, we brought it straight here" Octavia confirmed as Sawyer passed Octavia the makeshift knife 

"What does that mean?" Jasper asked shaking
