Chapter 47: Returned Enemy

Sawyer tried to ignore the conversation behind her as she focused on driving. Raven was in the back talking to everyone about everything she learned 

"Eyes sharp, weapons hot. We're almost home" Sawyer instructed as she looked at the overhead mirror getting a view of everyone in the back 

Sawyer pulled out the radio, she clicked on the button before speaking  

"Sawyer to Miller, come in" Sawyer waited for a response only to get radio silence "Harper, you there?" the girl asked 

"Stop here" Bellamy said. Sawyer nodded and slowly pressed on the gas "Jasper, you go through the roof top. "Atlas, Octavia, Clarke and I will each take a corner of the rover to watch. Rest of you guys stay inside" Bellamy instructed 

Sawyer nodded and watched as they got out. Peta crawled into the front seat while Cole poked his head out with Jasper up top

"We left two days ago. Why haven't they fixed the gate?" Clarke asked confused

"Maybe because there's no one here to fix it" Atlas commented 

"It's like a ghost town" Cole said looking around

"Miller, where the hell are you?" Bellamy said into his radio  "I don't like this" he commented uneasy 

"Maybe they got chipped" Peta said poking her head out the window to look at Bellamy who walked near the passenger door 

"If they got chipped, they'd been waiting for us at the cave" Bellamy says shaking his head as he scoped around 

"Maybe they saw the open gate, went in for Lincoln's book" Jasper said 

"Maybe you should stop saying maybe " Octavia says annoyed 

"If they are chipped. Alie already know's we're coming" Sawyer said as she slowly pushed on the break stopping the rover. She opened her door and jumped out walking around to the other side

Sawyer stepped into a puddle making her stop. She stared down and suddenly a flashback hit her. Sawyer closed her eyes as her breath began shortening 

"Sawyer?" Peta says nervously but Sawyer couldn't hear. The sound of Pike's gun filled her head. Sawyer let out a scream and covered her ears. Everyone turned to the girl confused 

Sawyer saw Lincoln's body dropping as blood shot out from his head. She started hyperventilating 

"Sawyer!" Bellamy yelled snapping the girl out of her trans "Are you ok?" he asked concerned

Sawyer didn't respond she just looked down at her boot that was now coated in Lincoln's blood. "Sawyer" Bellamy said making the girl look up. "I'm fine" Sawyer rushed out quickly as she tried to control her breathing

"Let's get his book and get the hell out of here" Octavia spit out her gaze focused on the blood 

"Can you drive?" Bellamy asked Sawyer, Sawyer shook her head trying to shake the visions "Yea I'm fine" the girl repeated. She turned and jumped in the seat closing the door 

"You saw him didn't you? You saw Lincoln" Peta said making Sawyer stop. Bellamy banged on the back of the rover making Sawyer jump as she rushed to push on the gas

She drove the rover into the garage 

"Close it up and turn the rover around. We may need to get out of here quickly" Bellamy said. Sawyer nodded "copy that" she called 

Sawyer shifted on the gears as she turned the rover around successfully. She backed it up close enough  "Alright come on" Sawyer said looking to everyone who stayed in the rover 

They all nodded and opened doors piling out 

"We're in and out. Pack as much gear as you can into the rover" Bellamy called out. "I'll get the map" Octavia says rushing away. "I'll uh- go with her" Jasper stopped looking for an excuse "No one should be alone" he reasoned 

"You didn't wanna load gear huh?" Atlas teases as Jasper rushes away "Not even a little" he yells making Sawyer laugh
