Chapter 13: Torturing the Grounder

Sawyer was feeling a little better, Octavia was sitting behind her scrubbing the blood out of her hair. She had just cleaned and patched up her head. Sawyer turned to see Finn still laying on the table Clarke leaning over him

"Stay still" Octavia begged as she continued to scrub. Sawyer turned her head back and stared at the door of the drop ship. Kids had been running around pulling things in the drop ship so they wouldn't get wet

A storm was starting outside, the winds were blowing like crazy and the rain was scary. Sawyer had drunk some of the medicine that Jasper had when he was sick and it made her head feel a lot better

Raven sat attempting to find the right channel in order to contact the ark. Sawyer hissed as Octavia hit a soft spot on her head

"Calling Ark station" Sawyer heard for the hundredth time "Raven turn 3 clicks to the left" Sawyer recommended. Raven nodded and turned the dial and repeated "Calling Ark station"

"This is a restricted channel. Who is this? Please identify yourself" Raven gasped and everyone looked to Sawyer "Well talk" she shot at Raven

"This is Raven Reyes I-I'm from Mecha Station. I'm transmitting from the ground. The 100 are alive. Please, you need to get Doctor Abby Griffin. Doctor Abby Griffin. Now"

"Hang on Raven, we're trying to boost your signal" we heard from the radio

"Raven, are you there?" Abby asked "Clarke its your Mom" Sawyer said shocked as she stood up heading for the radio

"Mom? Mom, its me" Clarke said into the radio 

"Clarke this is the chancellor. Are you saying there are survivors on the ground?"

"Yes, the earth is survivable. We're not alone. Mom he's dying, the knife is still in his chest" Clarke begged

"Clarke is my son with you?" Jaha asked. Sawyer watched as Clarke froze, she took the radio from the table

"Chancellor, this is Sawyer, Sawyer Jameson and i'm so sorry. But Wells, he is dead" Sawyer closed her eyes as she broke the news. Clarke stared sincerely at the girl. "He was stabbed and it was too late, its hard down here taking care of everyone. I- I'm sorry Sir"

"I'm gonna talk you through it step by step" Abby said "Clarke just give 5- to medical. Medic-" Abby was cut off, the frequency made it hard to hear her.

"What? Raven what's wrong?" Clarke asked confused "It's not the radio. It's the storm" Raven explained as Sawyer messed with the dials in attempt to fix the signal

Sawyer didn't even notice that Octavia had left until she came in the drop ship soaked with 2 large cups. She passed one to Sawyer who was helping Clarke clean things to help Finn

"Uh Monty's moonshine?" she questioned as the smell burned her nose.

"Pretty sure no germ can survive it" Octavia responded

"The storm's getting worse, Monroe close the doors" Clarke instructed

"But we still have people out there" Monroe argued. Sawyer looked at her confused who was still out there. "Monty and Jasper still aren't back yet, neither is Bellamy"

"What? When did they leave?" Sawyer asked concerned for her friends. "It's alright, they'll somewhere to ride it out" Clarke comforted

"Here's one stitching needle" Raven said holding out the needle to Sawyer. Clarke grabbed it before Sawyer could say anything "I still need something to close the wound" Clarke informed

Octavia's head shot up "There's some wire on the second level. I used it for the tents"

"Go get it" Sawyer instructed "Stay away from the blue wires that run through the ceiling I rigged it to the solar cells in the roof" Raven yelled "That means they're hot! You got that?" Sawyer asked
