Chapter 31: I am not weak

There was a meeting being held in Tondc. Sawyer was surrounded by grounders and the only person who was there with her from her camp was Atlas and Clarke and the couple of guards who stood in the corners

"This argument is useless. If they can't breathe our air then why not open the door and let them burn?" A grounder yelled. Sawyer shook her head in disagreement as the grounders yelled "Let them burn! Let them burn!"

"No! Because they have a containment system, multiple airlocks just like we had on the Ark. Our inside man can shut that own" Sawyer said loudly 

"If he gets inside" the grounder said glaring at Sawyer 

"What if we shut it down from the outside. You say the dam gives them power, take that away" Lexa asks. "That damn withstood a nuclear war, commander I highly doubt-" Sawyer was cut off by the grounder slamming his fists down on the table 

Sawyer jumped in shock and rolled her eyes "All she offers is no" he yells. "Quint" Lexa says glaring at him with a scolding tone. Quint stood up real quick at the sight of her glare 

"Apologies, commander. But the biggest army we've had waits for us to give it a mission, the longer that takes the more of our people die inside that mountain" Quint says 

"It's the same for all of us" Clarke says 

"We've lost thousands, how many have you lost, girl? " They kept quiet as Quint continued his revolt "She says she has a plan, I say waiting for one man to get inside is not a very good one" 

"I agree with Quint, we have an army let's use it" another grounder says speaking up 

"We will, after Bellamy lowers their defenses, turns off the acid fog. I don't care how many men you have! If you can't get to your enemy you can't win" Sawyer says raising her voice

"You are the enemy" Quint says glaring 

"I'm sorry, have I done something to offend you?" Sawyer asks in a sassy tone annoyed at this same grounder who kept coming for her. Quint walked closer to Sawyer making Atlas step in front of her ready to protect the girl 

"Yes, you burned my brother alive in a ring of fire" Quint answers. Sawyer looked around for a second debating on how to respond. She stepped around Atlas and walked closer leaning into the grounder ready to piss him off 

"He shouldn't have attacked my ship" Sawyer says voice low.

"You're very brave under the commander's protection" Quint replied. Sawyer glared at the grounder

"You've clearly seen what I can do, ask your-" Sawyer's taunting was cut off by Lexa 

"Pleni (Enough)" Lexa said in grounder tongue. Sawyer understood some simple words now which made things easier. Quint spoke in grounder but Sawyer couldn't understand

Quint walked away making Sawyer sigh and turn back to the table where they had 3-d layouts 

"Quint's right. Waiting for Bellamy isn't a plan, it's a prayer. One that's not likely to be answered" Lexa spoke making Sawyer annoyed 

"Excuse me. I need some air" Clarke said overwhelmed. Sawyer looked to her guards and nodded signalling them to follow. She walked away going after Clarke 

"They are so fucking stubborn" Sawyer cursed annoyed as she exited the room 

"I need a break" Sawyer said walking off into the direction of the woods wanting to clear her head. "Want me to come with?" Atlas asked as the girl walked away. Sawyer shook her head no and walked off into the woods

Sawyer stopped at the sound of leaves breaking behind her which meant someone was following her. She stopped and looked around her eyes locking on Quint

She rolled her eyes and kept walking but slowly. She tried to look out of the corner of her eyes to see if he was following 

"Not so brave now are you, Sky girl?" he called out making Sawyer's heart race. Son of a bitch was gonna kill her 

Sawyer stopped walking and looked down. Suddenly he was gone making her heart drop. She stepped forward but gasped in surprise as an arrow hit the tree right next to her. Her head whipped to the side seeing Quint with a bow and arrow
