Chapter 42: Unbearable Pain

Sawyer and Octavia switched places, Sawyer came back into Arkadia while Octavia was outside monitoring the camp. Sawyer's leg was in excruciating pain and she couldn't last in the field much longer so Kane swapped the girls out

Sawyer sighed as she walked into her unit. The girl was in desperate need for a nap, she turned on the light and threw off her guards jacket. Sawyer turned to see Bellamy on the bed sitting on his side. He was staring at the floor 

"Get out" Sawyer growled as she saw him. "Sawyer" Bellamy said standing up. "Bellamy, I am tired and I have had it with you already" Sawyer groans. She lifts her shirt over her head and throws it on the ground

"This is my room too" Bellamy argued. Sawyer opened his draw and pulled out pajamas. "There's a couch in my office, sleep there" Sawyer said chucking the clothes at his chest. Bellamy caught them and threw them to the ground

"No, I am sleeping in my room and so are you" 

"Bellamy I am not sleeping in the same room as you! There is grounder blood on your shirt from the army you massacred today" Sawyer yelled 

"Oh yea? Well there's grounder blood on your hands too. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there! You have killed just like I have. You need to wake up from this la la land you live in and realize that what I did today will benefit the life of our future child! It's time that Skaikru get's on top"

"Our child! Our child? How could I have a kid with you right now knowing that Pike the man who you have your head so far shoved up his ass just walked us into a war that we are going to loose" 

"We have guns" 

"And they have 12 clans!" Sawyer screamed. "You know what, you're right. This is your room too, so um you sleep here and I'll go somewhere else" Sawyer says defeated. When Sawyer made it to the door she turned and said "We are done until you get your act together" 

Sawyer limped out of the room before Bellamy could even respond. Sawyer let out a deep breath as she realized she just broke up with Bellamy. She leaned against the walls and began quietly crying

Sawyer pulled herself together and walked down the hall to Atlas's room and knocked on the door. Atlas opened the door shirtless and confused as to why Sawyer was there

"Can I sleep here tonight?" the girl asked. Atlas nodded and moved out of the way so she could enter "Boyfriend troubles?" he asked. Sawyer sighed and nodded

Sawyer walked over to his dresser and pulled out a shirt. She threw it over her body before she backed up and sat on his bed. She softly unbuckled her brace before slipping it off. Sawyer tugged her pants down before putting on the brace again

She turned and slipped her legs under the covers. Atlas sat in a chair next to the bed, he was folding some clothes. Sawyer couldn't sleep, she was mad, mad at Bellamy, mad at Clarke for leaving them, mad at Pike. Sawyer was mad at the world

"Stop staring at me and go to sleep" Atlas says putting down a newly folded shirt, Sawyer's face laid on the pillow as she stared at Atlas. "I can't sleep" Sawyer confessed 

"What's on your mind" Atlas asked. He knew Sawyer, and he knew when things were bothering her. "A lot" Sawyer responded sighing as she stared into the eyes of her best friend

"You know when Raven said over the radio that Mount Weather blew up- and you were gone. I felt like I lost everything" Atlas said. Staring at the blonde girl made Atlas emotional, he never thought that he would see her again

Sawyer listened as Atlas spoke to her "I stopped breathing, my heart was just pounding. I just kept thinking that there was no way. I felt my life like flash before my eyes as cliche as it sounds. I um knew once we got back to the camp and when your found out. I walked past your room and everything felt-"
