I couldn't see. Well that was to be expected; I was blind. I've never seen the world around me but being blind has it perks and no I'm not talking about having a fast pass at theme parks although it is cool; no with only four natural senses you just sort of left to adapt.

My ears are as sensitive as a bat. My sense as smell is almost as good as a wolves. My touch is delicate and soft but it can define the simplest lines that no one can see. My taste is the only noramal-ish sense I have; I mean nobody has tried to poison me so I don't need to taste for poisons. Even though I have not sight I do have an incredible unexplainable sense, if your angry I can feel it rolling off you in waves and if your sad but not crying some people say you can see it in peoples eye but nope I just feel that stuff and most of the time it scares people which is fun for me.

With my extreme hearing I can hear the soft buzz of excited bees, oh by bees I mean the people in my class. A parentally there is going to be a new student today and to theses who have done their hoework I mean homework, he's quite hot as well I just going to take their word on it since I can't see.

I hear the door swing open then thud shut; the white noise came to a steady stop. I can only assume that the teacher – Mr Evans and the new student are here.

"Thank you for the quick quiet" Mr Evans slightly deep voice racked through the steady silence.

"Do you want to introduce yourself or do you want me to do it" He presumably turned to the new boy. See I'm making the assumption that it's a boy due to the girls using the noun 'he', when they were talking about them before.

"No it's fine, I'll do it" A new deeper voice called out just as girls and boys sighed at the sound. Yay my persuasion was right, thank goodness for that.

"I am Nicolas McClain and we've just moved here from our little cabin in the woods" Nicolas's voice held a bit of humor which I presume was his way to see who to make friends with, it sort of echoed in the dead quite room.

"Ok Nicolas you can sit where you would like" Mr Evans says calmly.

I know I wasn't facing the front but there wasn't a point to facing the front when I can't see so why face the front plus I can hear slightly better this way; Mr Evans knows this and so he doesn't question it, which I'm thankful for. I could hear the new kid walking down my right side; the left was covered by the wall and windows. He walked to the chair next to me, why me?

The window next to me was open; I could tell by the nice little breeze that only I could appreciate. Mr Evans started the lesson and every started to take notes while whispering to each other. While I was writing my attention was grabbed by the light tap on my desk; this new kid is going to be the end of me.

"Hhmmmm" I hummed lowly in response but not moving my head in acknowledgement; I know it's slightly rude but this is the way I rolled and people got used to it. But another tap vibrated cross my desk, that's enough. I turned my head in annoyance, why turn my head? There is no point, I AM BLIND!!

"What!" I hissed in a quiet tone as to not disturb the lesson; Nicolas is going to get me in deep trouble.

"Ok whoa, calm down I just wanted to introduce myself" He whispered in an urgent sounding voice, was I too loud? I'm blind damn it not deaf but I guess he doesn't know that, I imagen him putting his hands up in surrender.

"I know who you are and where you came from Nicolas McClain" I whisper back coolly but also creepy, oops "in your introduction you made a horror movie reference that no one seemed to have got, shame" I say dead pan my curiosity is peaked as I can feel Nicolas just oozing nervousness. I smell a mystery.

"Oh-oh you got that" he sounds nervous as well, now I'm tempted just to ask him out right 'what are you hiding' meh I'll find out eventually. "Do you like horror films?" Nicolas clears his throat and relaxes slightly.

"Nope" I sigh "they are just a waste of time for someone like me" I huffed, yeah on of the many disadvantages of being blind; the in ability to enjoy films.

"Shame" he shrugged, I turned back to the front thinking he was done with our little chit chat, but nope "so is there a reason why you keep your eyes shut?" he asked and I did my best not to answer sarcastically.

"Ooohh that my friend is one of the many mysteries here" I always wanted to say that and no, I don't consider him a friend, and it's just a part of the phase.

"I guess I'll just have to find out then" I imagen him smirking confidently, now I just want to scoff at him.

"You can try but there is one that you won't find the answer for" I say confidently, it's true though, even my best friend doesn't even know it.

"Oh-oh we will see" the smirk is still evident in his voice. This that a threat?!

I move my attention back to the class only to feel a certain set of eyes burning holes into the side of my head, what is this guy's problem?

When the class was over I waited until every else had gone, including the new kid. So I up out of my chair and through my bag over my shoulder and began to make my way out of the class; I let my hand run along the edge of my desk, then drop off, then my knuckles gently knock against the next desk and so on until I was at the front and using the wall to find the door.

"Why hello there my impaired friend" Lauren greeted me brightly, I shook my head at her comment, if anyone over heard her, they would think she was being rude.

"It's a good job that I don't get offended easily" I say smiling, I love this girl and her antics.

"Yeah it is a good job otherwise you wouldn't put up with me" I can tell she is grinning.

"Come on let's get to class, who do we have?" I ask, already knowing the answer, I already don't want to go.

"Eerrr Mrs gray" Lauren groaned along with me, we have some major issues with this woman and she does with us.

"No, I don't want to go" I whined, Mrs gray has some major superiority issue.

"I know you hate her but come on if we dich it will be worse" Lauren reasoned, it's a good job I only really listen to her.

"I servery dislike her not hate her but she hates me and it doesn't help with her treating us like children in her colour coded seating plan. WE. ARE. NOT. PRIMARY. SCHOOL. CHILDREN!!!" I put emphasize on the last sentence.

"Yeah I know its annoying but don't start a fight with her." Lauren warned but I know she is messing too, if someone starts a fight in there then everyone else would join in just because we don't like this woman.

"Fine but no promises" I smirked at her and I hear her sigh and shake her head.
