Story in a story ... story ception xp

"Everyone knows the story right?..... No? Alright I guess I'll have to tell you. Tell you about the moon princess."

"It all begins with the moons goddess, our Luna had created three races; mermaids, vampires and werewolves. Each race was effective by the moon one way or another. Mermaids had the eclipse that made the return to the water. The vampires had the occasional blood moon that made them more blood thirsty than ever. Finally the wolves had the full pure moon that made their wolves take control."

"All these races lived somewhat peacefully with each other and with the humans; as our Luna would watch as they grow up, have families and pass away, this made her desire a family too, she wanted to bear her perfect creation, they would be a part of every race but greater than them all."

"After many months had passed and her perfect creation was given life, our Luna was over joyed as the child was silver hair like the full moon, flawless skin blessed by the ocean and eye dark as night also an embedded in the small child's chest was the gem of the moon."

"The eclipse quarts was a dark blue gem with an unique rim of a pearlescent white, it closely resembled a full solar eclipse. Our Luna did her best to keep and raise the child in secret until, it turned ten, the other gods made her put the child down on the earth with the rest of her creation; our Luna regrettably had to place it in a small human village."

"Once on the earth the child's features began to grow and develop so by the time they were of age they closely resembled our Luna herself. As years passed, the rumour of the eclipse quarts speed among the creatures and greed took hold."

"Our Luna couldn't interfere as a group of vampires stole the peace of the village; leaving our Luna's child the last one alive, they took her and tried and failed to remove the quarts, our Luna's daughter when through a lot of pain and anguish until a pack of wolves stormed the coven, saving her."

"The hope didn't last long as mermen and women attacked the wolves leaving her alone once again. Our Luna had enough and made the mate system so there would be mixed creatures; our Luna reached out for her child but she made a prophecy for the day her child returned to the earth."

"The child of the moon shall return but only when one is worthy and when the world is worthy of the moon princess." The elderly gentleman finished spinning his tale, one of the young men in the crowd sat there in thought as some parts of the story felt so familiar to him.

"So where are they now?" the young man asked wanting to know more, wanting to know why this tale felt so important.

"Who knows, she could be right next to us or is still in the safety of her mother" He shrugged but spoke with a sense of mystery.

"You called the 'child' a her, how would you know?" The same man called up again; the other people were rustling around as they left.

"Our goddess always wanted a baby girl and I personally love to think that she got her wish." He spoke with a warm smile as if the thought was the most pure thing to ever exist.

If no one can tell I really like the concept of the gem in the chest idea

And its completely true!!
