Hong Jisoo, one month prior...

The room was colder than death, and the silence resembled it.

"Y-You wouldn't."

Joshua's heart was pounding out of his chest. The walls felt as if they were closing in on him, and there certainly wasn't enough oxygen in the room to breathe properly.

"Do you put this above me?"

The other man in the room spoke as if the the situation meant nothing.

"Shouldn't I?!" Joshua yelled. "She's your wife! And my mother!"

"Jisoo... Don't test my patience. You need to lower your voice."

Joshua scoffed and angrily shifted in the chair he was seated in.

"You can't make me do this, Father."

Joshua's Fathers expression remained cold.

The young boy tried to keep a composed appearance, but he could feel the angry burn of tears on the way.

"Why do you have to put her on the line. Can't you choose anyone else?" Joshua's voice quivered.

"She's the only person you care about." He seemed to be thinking for a moment, before he spoke again. "Unless.."

Joshua froze.

"No. Father please.. d-don't.."

Joshua broke down sobbing, his resolve finally crumbling.

"Don't get tears on my desk." His father spoke, then checked his watch as if this whole ordeal was wasting his time. He then looked back up at Joshua.

"It seems you care about more people than I thought. I've seen you hang out with this boy quite a bit. What was his name.. Seokmin?"

Joshua couldn't move. The mere thought of Seokmin being hurt because of him made him break down into tears once again.

"You have two minutes to make a decision, Jisoo. If you don't, then you know the price."

The words struck Joshua like a baseball bat to the stomach. He would do anything for his Mothers safety, and Seokmin meant so much to him. He always wished he could care about his father the same way, but the man was awful, and Joshua was beginning to realize that.

Joshua nodded, his head hung low.

"Good. His name is Yoon Jeonghan, and he should be transferring to your school in about a weeks time. You know what you need to do, and if you ever let it slip that you're not doing this on your own will, then there will be consequences."

Joshua nodded, unable to speak through the sobs. He stood up and exited his dads office as fast as he could. He reached inside his back pocket and pulled out his phone, calling the only person he could seek comfort in at that moment.

"Joshua?"

"S-Seokmin..."

Joshua had never stopped sobbing, his voice alarmingly shaky.

"Josh? What's wrong? Are you okay?"

Joshua hurried out of his dads mansion and got into his car, not actually planning on driving away at that moment.

"Can I c-come to your house?"

"Of course you can, but what happened?"

"I-I don't really wanna talk about it."

Joshua shifted in the front seat of his car.

"Ok.. just come over then. I'll be here. It'll be okay Joshua, don't worry."

Joshua sniffled before he hung up the phone and started his car.

After Seokmin opened the door of his home Joshua fell into his arms, still sobbing.

"Josh? No no no, please tell me what happened I hate seeing you like this."

Joshua still didn't answer. He wrapped his arms around Seokmins waist tightly and hid his face in his chest while he continued to cry. Seokmin reciprocated the hug and reached up to gently stroke the back of the crying boys head.

"Come inside Josh, let's get this sorted out."

Joshua never let go of the other, even as he started walking backwards to try and get the both of them out of the doorway.

The two ended up on a couch, even though they almost missed it and ended up on the floor.

"I don't want to do it, Seokminie.."

Seokmins shirt was damp with tears at this point.

"Do what? What's wrong? You need to tell me or I can't help you."

Joshua only continued crying.

"I-I don't wanna do that to someone.."

It was as if Joshua was talking to himself, not even expecting an answer even though Seokmin continued giving them.

"Listen. You know I love you and I hate to see you this upset. Please tell me whats wrong..  Who's making you do what? If you tell me I can help you."

Joshua brought his face away from Seokmins chest. The normally calm and collected Joshua was a disheveled mess. His cheeks had continuous tears flowing down them, and his eyes were red and puffy from crying so much.

"You can't help me with this.."

Seokmin frowned in confusion.

"Well I can try, but you need to tell me what happened before I can do anything."

Joshua sniffled as he contemplated actually telling him. In the end he knew he couldn't. That would put his life at such a big risk, and he loved him too much to do that to him.

"N-No, just be here for me for right now Seokmin. I really need the comfort."

Seokmin nodded and gently held Joshua by the cheek, pulling him into a kiss. Joshua reacted immediately and scooted closer to him, half way in his lap at that point. Then Seokmin pulled away for a second, hesitant.

"Are you sure you wa-"

The other boy nodded and latched his lips back onto Seokmins.

Joshua was hurting inside, and he didn't know what to do, but having Seokmin safe and by his side made him feel at ease for the time being.
