I Lie to Myself

Normal POV

"Hey Rob?" Wally said as he walked over to where his friend was eating an apple by the kitchen island.

Robin looked towards him, "Yeah?"

"You are always so positive. How do you do it?" Wally knew all about his best friend's past, and how he smiled despite it all.

Robin took a bite of his apple and smiled big, "Well, I'll tell you my secret, KF."

Rob took step closer to his friend so they were face to face, his smile wavered into a pained and crazy one. "I lie to myself."

"Every morning when I wake up I say, 'Everything is gonna be ok!'" Robin grabbed Wally's arms as he tried to get away.

"But I'm lying." The avian whispered. "And I don't know how much longer I can do it."

Wally made a drawn-out whining noise out of fear.

Robin, however, put his usual cheery smile on his face, let go off his friend. Then skipped away humming a little tune.

That is definitely one of my favorite memes, of all time!
