Chapter 9

I know I know... You're welcome. ;)

"Yuri?" Natsuki asked after the taller girl set her down.

"Yes?" Yuri called, tilting her head curiously.

Fuck, she's too cute... What was I saying?!

"I, uh, do you... Can we... Date...? Today..? Like, now?" Natsuki word vomited, blushing like mad.

Yuri blushed, her eyes widening slightly.

"U-Um, yeah! Yes, of course! Where did you have in mind?" Yuri asked, her heart beating rapidly.

"Um.. How about we go pack a lunch and we can have a picnic at the lake?" Natsuki suggested, not mentioning that she had dreamed of doing something cheesy and romantic with Yuri for two years.

"That sounds perfect." Yuri smiled softly with a chuckle.

Natsuki took Yuri's hand in her own as the two walked towards the kitchen.

Natsuki grabbed a large empty potato sack to hold the items in and started looking in the cabinets for foods to bring.

Yuri watched from the counter as Natsuki clumsily rushed around to gather things.

She grabbed eight slices of bread, some cheese, ham and turkey slices, a fistfull of lettuce, some mustard and a jar of mayonnaise, wrapping them in plastic wrap before hastily tossing them into the sack.

Next she sprinted back to the fridge, grabbing out a bottle of grape juice and a full bag of grapes.

What is she doing?

Yuri giggled to herself as she observed how quickly Natsuki's short legs carried her back and forth across the room.

Natsuki finally grabbed two disposable cups and some plates, shoving them into the bag as well.

"Okay! Let's go!" Natsuki squeaked out, grabbing the sack and rushing over to Yuri's side.

Yuri laughed her sincere laugh that made Natsuki's heart flutter as she took the pink haired girl's hand within her own.

They walked in silence until they reached a hill overlooking the lake.

"Shall we have our little picnic up there?" Yuri asked with a smirk as Natsuki tensed even worse.

"S-Sure!" Natsuki said a bit too loud.

She allowed Yuri to pull her up the hill as she internally groaned at her awkwardness.

"Oh man! I should've brought a blanket or chairs or something to sit on! Fuck, I suck at this!" Natsuki hung her head in defeat.

"Hey! This date is perfect. You are perfect." Yuri said as she sat on the grass.

"Come here." Yuri patted her lap with a smirk as Natsuki's blush darkened.

Natsuki gulped then did as she was told, slowly sitting in Yuri's lap with her back pressed to her chest.

Natsuki started taking the items out of the sack, carefully setting them into her own lap.

"W-What do you want on your s-s-sandwich?" Natsuki stuttered, avoiding glancing towards the girl of her dreams.

Yuri smiled and wrapped her arms around Natsuki's slender waist, resting her chin on Natsuki's shoulder as she sighed with contempt.

"Hmm..." she hummed, her hot breath hitting Natsuki's ear and making her shiver.

"Just some ham, cheese, and lettuce." Yuri whispered into Natsuki's ear, kissing it afterward.

Natsuki squirmed a bit, feeling the heat rise to the tips of her ears.

"O-Okay." Natsuki squeaked out quickly as she put together the ingredients in her lap.

Yuri giggled and held Natsuki tighter.

"Thank you." Yuri kissed Natsuki's cheek as the small girl passed her a plate with her sandwich.

Natsuki couldn't stop the dopey grin that spread across her face as she prepared a sandwich of her own.

"J-Juice?" Natsuki asked, holding up the bottle.

"Yes, please." Yuri said as she took a bite of her sandwich.

Natsuki chuckled, noticing a bit of cheese had smeared against Yuri's lip.

She licked her thumb and gently wiped it off, staring at Yuri's lips.

Natsuki felt herself inching closer until she snapped back into her thoughts, quickly blinking as she turned back to pour them both some juice.

"H-Here." Natsuki handed Yuri her beverage with a shakily hand.

"Thanks." Yuri, again, placed a kiss to her cheek as a thank you.

After eating, Natsuki climbed off of Yuri's lap, sitting down next to her instead.

The sun was setting over the lake, casting an orange glow over the water.

Natsuki smiled at the sight and placed her hand atop Yuri's.

Yuri glanced from the lake to Natsuki, intertwining their fingers with a smile.

Yuri rested her head on Natsuki's shoulder as she returned her gaze to the setting sun.

"This was perfect." Yuri whispered, squeezing Natsuki's hand softly.

"Yeah... It was..." Natsuki said.

"Hey, Monika just texted me..." Yuri said suddenly, glancing at her phone.

Natsuki looked over as well.

"It says 'Got some news. Tell you tomorrow at club.' What do you think it is?" Yuri asked, looking up at Natsuki.

"I don't know... I hope it's nothing bad..." Natsuki said, squeezing their interlocked hands.

"Anyway, let's go." Yuri said, unlocking their hands to stand.

"Okay." Natsuki agreed, gathering the trash in the sack.

Natsuki stood, brushing herself off.

Yuri held out her hand with a smile that made Natsuki's stomach flip.

Natsuki took her hand, pressing close to her side so their shoulders were almost touching.

Once they arrived back at the house, Yuri opened the door and she and Natsuki walked through.

Yuri couldn't contain herself any longer. She grabbed Natsuki by the waist, turning her to face her.

"Y-Yuri?" Natsuki asked nervously.

"I'm sorry, I can't control myself." Yuri whispered before pressing their lips together agressively.

Natsuki moaned softly as Yuri forced her tongue into her mouth.

Yuri pushed Natsuki onto the couch, straddling her lap as her hands wandered to rest under the hem of her shirt.

"Y-Yuri~" Natsuki moaned, gripping the front of Yuri's shirt tightly.

"W-Wait!" Natsuki said, panting as she pushed her away gently.

"What's wrong?" Yuri asked, suddenly losing her confidence.

"I-I... Just... N-Need a moment." Natsuki said, blushing.

Yuri just looked up at her, confused.

Natsuki slid out from under her, quickly running up the stairs.
