Christmas Part Two

Chapter 23

Monika sprung awake that December 25th, pulling on fresh clothes and brushing her hair.

I really hope Sayori says yes...

The thought had been gnawing at her mind for months.

She knew she was ready for the commitment, she was just unsure if Sayori was ready to take their relationship to the next level.

Monika shook off her thoughts and fed her cat, leaving a note for her neighbor to watch him for the next day or so before hopping into her car to head to the hospital.

I really do love Monika... I just... Does she love me as much as I love her..?

Sayori suddenly felt nervous.

This wasn't their first Christmas together, but Sayori could tell something would be different this time and she was unsure if that was a good or bad thing.

"Hey, baby! Merry Christmas!" Monika strode to Sayori's bed, planting a deep kiss to her lover's waiting lips.

"Merry Christmas, Moni." Sayori smiled lovingly at her girlfriend as she took a seat at the edge of her bed.

"So, Yuri and Nat said they'll be over after opening gifts. So we have a bit of time to ourselves~." Monika purred with a smirk.

Sayori blushed yet nodded, her heart pounding like it always did around Monika.

Monika leaned forward, kissing Sayori deeply as the smaller girl moaned softly.

"I love you." Sayori said as they parted for air.

"I love you too." Monika replied, hugging Sayori close.

"Merry Christmas." Yuri whispered as Natsuki stirred awake.

"Morning." Natsuki mumbled sleepily, smiling up at Yuri through half lidded eyes.

"Let's get some presents, shall we?" Yuri chuckled, picking Natsuki up and cradling her in her arms.

Natsuki smiled brightly, now fully awake, as Yuri set her on the couch.

Natsuki crawled towards the tree on her knees, grabbing a few gifts for Yuri to open.

"You go first." Natsuki said as Yuri took the offered stack.

Yuri smiled as she gazed at the gifts she could tell Natsuki put a lot of thought into.

"I love everything! Especially the dessert. You remembered my favourite!" Yuri clutched her new books close to her chest as she smiled brightly at her beloved.

"Okay! Now you open mine!" Yuri encouraged, eagerly awaiting Natsuki's reaction.

"Oh, Yuri! Thank you so much!" Natsuki had opened a recipe book and a pair of bunny earrings.

"There's one more thing." Yuri winked, grabbing a small box from behind the pillow she was leaned against.

She tossed it to Natsuki, who opened it as her eyes grew wide.

"Yuri! Ohmigod, you shouldn't have!" Natsuki squealed, placing a hand over her mouth as she held up the necklace.

Yuri chuckled, crouching down to put it around Natsuki's neck.

"Merry Christmas." Yuri whispered, connecting their lips in a tender kiss.

"Come in!" Monika called, quickly buttoning up her blouse and smoothing her hair as the door opened to reveal Natsuki and Yuri.
