CHAPTER FIFTEEN
KAHIT naman sabihin ni Jess na ayaw niyang paligaw kay Dwaye ay magpipilit parin ito. Her words would be useless if she voice out her disagreement. Besides, she doesn't have a choice. Sinabi ni Dwaye na manliligaw ito sa ayaw at sa gusto niya. Kaya saan siya lulugar?
Dwaye insisted to go with them in an exclusive kindergarten near their village. Mabuti nalang din ay pumayag ang eskwelahan na ma-enroll ang anak niya kahit tatlong taong gulang palang. Napakiusapan nila.
"I will leave tonight." Dwaye informed them while driving.
They're on their way home from school. She was sitting in the front passenger seat, while Atasha was in the back seat.
"Saan ka pupunta po, my boy-fend?"
Dwaye glanced at Atasha from the rear view mirror then back his eyes in the road.
"In my friend's beach resort. May aasikasuhin lang ako."
Tahimik lang siya at nakatuon ang tingin sa unahan. Ayaw niyang magtanong. Gusto niyang wala siyang pakialam sa mga lakad ni Dwaye. He's free to do whatever he wants.
"Kailan ka babalik po?"
"I don't know yet? Maybe this weekend."
"Ilang tulog po, my boy-fend?"
Sumulyap ulit si Dwaye sa salamin, nakita niya ang bahagya nitong pag ngiti. Amuse na naman sa anak.
"Four nights, baby. I will call you more often while I'm away. Okay?"
Daye nodded her head, she looks a bit sad. Huwag lang magdrama ulit ang anak at baka mapurnada pa ang lakad ni Dwaye, importante pa naman din daw.
"Okay my boy-fend."
"I think, video call is much better. What do you think, Jess?" Dwaye asked her.
Napatikhim siya. Medyo nabigla sa tanong nito. She felt uncomfortable, knowing that he was waiting for her respond. Muli ay sinulyapan siya ni Dwaye nang hindi kaagad siya nakasagot.
"I-Ikaw ang bahala. Si Atasha lang naman ang kakausapin mo."
"You and Atasha." He corrected her.
"Opo, di ba?" Sabat naman ng anak niya sa likod.
"Yes my Atasha. I will talk to you and to your Mama while I'm away."
Hanggang sa makarating sila sa labas ng bahay ay tahimik pa rin si Jess. Lumilipad ang isip niya sa malayo, partikular na ang pag alis ni Dwaye. He will be back in that beach resort.
D' Club has a branch inside the resort and also in the City there. Kung saan ay nasaksihan niya ang mga pambababae nito dati. The City branch was his first built Club, that branch must be very important to him because that's where he started as a nightclub owner.
"I might be away from your sight, but it doesn't mean that you will be away from mine." Dwaye muttered in a low tone as he unbuckle his belt.
She did the same, then glanced at him with her knotted forehead. A bit confused by his words.
