CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
IT WAS a long day for Dwaye. He checked the D' Club's status inside the Villafuente Beach Resort and also its main branch in the City. Every thing went well in both branches, normal na lang rin ang balita sa paminsan-minsang kaguluhan sa Club dala ng kalasingan ng mga customer.
"Hindi ka na masyado naglalagi dito, boss, ha." Naalala niya pang sabi sa kanya ng branch manager na si Carlos. "Busy ka sa branch natin sa Taguig?"
"Yeah, that branch demand my full attention. Marami kasi palaging tao kahit weekdays."
He has a D' Club branch in Bonifacio Global City and he's always there with Zyron. Bukod pa sa dahilan ng pananatili niya talaga sa Maynila ay dahil kay Jess at Atasha.
Kinailangan niya na rin talaga kasing bisitahin ng personal ang branches niya sa Visayas to check everything personally. Kaya napilitan siyang iwan muna ang mag-ina.
Kinapa ni Dwaye ang cellphone sa bulsa ng pantalon ngunit wala 'yon do'n. Pasado alas onse na at katatapos lang halos nila ni Drake mag-usap tungkol sa negosyo. Gusto niyang tawagan si Atasha kahit na gabi na masyado, just to check her and Jess of course. Buong araw ay hindi niya masyado nabigyan pansin ang cellphone.
"I will get another bucket of beer." Paalam ni Dwaye sa kainuman, si Drake.
He's in Drake's beach house for that night to visit Alexza and Blake. Naglakad siya sa kusina at naabutan niya ang kapatid na hawak ang cellphone na hinahanap niya.
"Is that my phone?" Dwaye forehead knotted while looking at his sister.
Alexza leered, then handed him his cellphone. "Yes. Blake borrowed it to you awhile ago."
He checked his phone and see if there's a message from his Atasha, but none. Then he check edthe history of phone calls and smile when he saw a missed calls from her. Ah, that kid really have a special place in his heart.
"May tawag nang tawag sayo kanina." Si Alexza na halatang iritado.
"Yeah, my Atasha."
Mas lalong hindi maipinta ang mukha nito. "Bago mong babae, Kuya? Inaway ko!"
"What?" He was a bit shock at what he heard.
"Tawag kasi ng tawag. She was disturbing my son while looking at your gallery. Kaya ako na ang sumagot."
"What did you tell her?" Napahilot sa sintido si Dwaye, wala pa man ay namomreblema na.
"Na huwag na siyang tatawag dahil nakakadistorbo siya. I told her that I'm your girlfriend to back off.." Alexza was smiling proudly while telling that. "I know she's just one of those annoying bitches who wants your attention."
"Damn." He cursed and massaged his temple. "You put me in trouble, Alexza."
"Bakit, Kuya? Tama lang naman ang ginawa ko para hindi ka na kulitin ng Atasha na 'yon."
Marahas na napabuntong hininga si Dwaye, iritado sa ginawa ng kapatid pero hindi niya naman magawang pagalitan sa pangingialam ng cellphone niya. He got her point, ayaw talaga nito sa mga babae niya, pero sa ngayon ay wala siyang babae!
"You better sleep, Alexza. Masama sa buntis ang napapagod at napupuyat."
"Salamat, Kuya DWaye, pero alam ko naman 'yon." At humagikhik ito. "Aakyat na ako. Huwag na kayo amg inom ng madami ni Drake, ha?"
