luke wasn't very tall, maybe 5'8 at best. michael was 6'3, making it a bit easier for him to carry luke around everywhere. it was something that luke seemed to love. he was always holding his arms out to michael with a trembling pout and michael just couldn't resist it. he was adorable. despite this, today was the first day that luke had woken up in big space, so michael took this opportunity to really talk with luke about everything.

'luke, can we talk for a minute?' luke looked up from his phone with wide, nervous eyes. he nodded and waited as michael walked over.

'i don't want to talk about everything and bring up any unwanted emotions, bubba, okay? tell me if it gets too much. but we do need to talk.' luke nodded, remaining non-verbal. michael ruffled the little's hair. he really didn't want to regress the boy but it was so hard. he was too cute.

'school first, you know there is always the daycare option if you are little during school hours.' luke nodded, whining when thinking about it. it seemed scary, having to be around littles all day.

all those littles are probably better than me...

'we have to re-register you with the school,' michael paused, seeing the nervous look on the blond's face, 'but all we really have to do is change the classification.'

'so the whole school will know?' luke's voice was but a whisper, his eyes staring right into michael's. the caregiver felt bad but nodded. luke frowned.

'it's okay. if anyone says anything i'll make sure they get in trouble.' luke just sighed, wanting to go back to coloring and stuff, but now he had to help michael do something he didn't want to.

'it'll be quick, c'mon.'

everything could be done over the computer, so it took a few minutes and luke was done. the boy had managed to stay out of his little space the whole time, which surprised the caregiver. he wasn't expecting all of this time with his best friend/ kinda-sorta boyfriend. he had pretty much just assumed that he and luke were dating now, and he didn't see anything wrong with this at all. he loved luke, and if them dating kept him safe then so be it.

'hey, lu?' luke looked up from his phone with a small smile on his face. god, michael thought, he really was just completely adorable.

'are we, like, together? a couple. technically?' luke opened his mouth as if to talk, but instead took in a deep breath and then shut his mouth. after a moment, though, he spoke.

'i hope so? because i really like you. i hadn't really thought about it, i just kind of assumed we were.' michael smiled and sat down, kissing the boy's cheek before laying on top of him awkwardly. luke smiled and put his phone to the side so he could mess around with michael's fluffy hair.

'what are you doing, luke?' the blond didn't answer verbally, instead just giggled and continued on doing what he was doing. michael laid back farther so he could actually see luke's face and puckered his lips to the boy.

'big boy kisses?!' luke exclaimed before leaning down and kissing michael. michael smiled against luke's lips and pulled him closer, making luke laugh harder at the actions. he clearly wasn't ready for any more right now. michael sat up and turned back around so he was properly facing luke.

luke was starting to rub his eyes and yawn, so michael nonchalantly mentioned a nap. luke, surprisingly, agreed quickly as he lifted his arms toward michael. the caregiver brought the little into his own room, giving him his blue pacifier. luke smiled as it bobbed in his mouth and fell asleep slowly, letting the touch of michael's hand rubbing his back put him to sleep.
