"And Mako, well, we've all been a bit jealous of him, because you seemed to like his special gift the most. He sang for you, which at first we thought was weird, but you were so awed and inspired by it, we all tried to prove ourselves." Lionfish finished, breathing a bit more after the long explanation.

It was silent for a moment or two, where all you could hear were the faint sounds of swaying seagrass and the splashing of waves far above. Mako took up where Lionfish left off and summed it up. "The truth is, Naida, we love you, though you never even knew we existed. All the gifts we sent were us trying to swoon you, and when you loved our gifts so deeply and accepted them every chance you got, well... in merman culture..." Mako still seemed unable to speak what was on his mind.

Shark looked sharply to his left, turned around, then snapped his eyes back to Naida. "Sorry, we don't have a choice anymore, and neither do you." He swam right up to Naida, disregarding her personal space, and picked her up like a baby. Despite her squirming, protests, and beating on his hard chest, he didn't let her go as he flew through the water with great speed, the other four brothers close behind.

Nadia didn't know exactly what, but she was fairly sure the brothers, with her, were swimming away from something, but that didn't make this any less of a kidnapping.

Naida had been brought to the brother's house, dwelling, boat, whatever it was.

It was a large sunken fishing boat that the brothers had made their home. It had nine rooms, two levels, and was in surprisingly good condition. Mako told her it had sunken one day after a hurricane and they made it their home.

They were in what would be the lounge on the second level. There wasn't any furniture, they mostly just floated around the room absentmindedly, it was probably normal for them as they would randomly bump into walls or brush fins.

"I'm sure you're bristling with questions," Ray predicted. She now had the undivided attention of all the brothers, but the only real question she had was where to begin?

"Um... mermen?" Was all she could settle on. They all looked at their tails, then to her legs. Krait blushed and looked out a glassless window to his left.
