"I did most of the work." Lionfish scoffed and Ray bopped him on the head, making Lionfish bite his tongue. "Owww." He whined and stuck his tongue out.
"As I was saying..." Shark growled and the two boys settled down instantly. "We were almost a quarter done when Krait attracted an animal that even he feared, a sawfish. These fish are huge, brutal, and have nature's finest saw on its face. This sixteen-foot creature came at us out of the blue, slashing its saw at us, clearly bloodthirsty. We scattered, avoiding the beast, but Krait was the only one that didn't, he held his ground and put all his power into controlling the beast he had brought upon us." Shark paused and Lionfish didn't hesitate to interrupt and pick up where he left off.
"The sawfish heard Kraits pleads to leave, but did quite the opposite and charged at him. Mako was the first to notice and didn't hesitate to thrust himself through the water and in front of Krait, his back taking the slash the sawfish intended for Krait."
Shark immediately butt back in, shooting Lionfish a glare. "I was going to tell that part, the best part, before you cut me off. Do it again and see what happens." Shark hissed and Lionfish shrank away. Shark was normally really calm and known as the peacemaker of the brothers, but when he was irritated, he was more intimidating than an actual shark starting you down hungrily. "Mako lived, but he was unconscious from pain and blood loss for the rest of the day, and couldn't swim without excruciating pain until the wound healed over. The scar left behind isn't something he's ashamed of, but rather it serves as proof of his undying loyalty to his brothers." Shark smiled with the most admiring smile she had ever seen on anyone.
"Krait has really looked up to him since that day," Ray commented, wearing a nostalgic grin.
"We're here, guys," Mako announced, swimming over to them. When he noticed the beams everyone was wearing, his lips parted into a confused smile and he asked, "What're you guys smiling like goofs about?" He chuckled.
Naida couldn't hold herself back, she leapt out of Shark's arms and threw hers around Mako's neck. "You're so much more amazing than I could've imagined. Pure devotion like yours is rare in the world nowadays, the fact that you have such a desirable trait, well..." She looked away and released him from her embrace. "It's really attractive to girls." She admitted indirectly, then immediately changed the subject. "You said we're here? What exactly is here?" She asked, swimming forward and looking around.
