You waited at the library and as you wait you were eating your Mom baked cookies. Which was one of your favorites. Principal Brown had asked you to tutor one of the students who are a bit late and those who struggled keeping up with some of the lesson.

You didn't mind though because it will also help you to review all of the lesson that you learned. Principal Brown told you that you'll know the student you're gonna tutor when you meet up at the library.

You couldn't  help to feel anxious because you don't know who's the student you're about to deal with. You were busy thinking of million things including the prom. The Prom is already tomorrow, still you don't have a partner to go with. But then you thought you'll just skip prom night and watch some Netflix because you elaborate number of reasons why you won't go to Prom tomorrow.

First, there's dance because unfortunately you have both left feet.

Second, there's to much crowd.

Third, there's a new episode of Sherlock Holmes tomorrow and you can't miss it.

Fourth, You're not really into Prom. Like literally.

Fifth---

"Hey earth to Y/N." A hand waved in front of that made you snap into reality. You were surprised of who the guy was sitting next to you.

It was the Reggie Mantle.

"Uhm... You were staring at your cookies for a long ---"

"I'm aware of it." You lied.  Reggie put his bag down and grab his phone and played with it. You were in awe because the Reggie Mantle was sitting next to a invisible student like you.

"Excuse me Reggie, are you sure that you're in the right place?Because ---"

"What are you talking abou--- ohh, Principal Brown didn't tell you, huh? Well I'm the student who Principal Brown referring to." Reggie didn't take a glance into your direction busy playing video games at his phone.

"Is that so?" He just nodded and you proceed grabbing all of your things and opened a book to start the session.

"Okay Reggie open your book on page 63." You started discussing your lesson but then you realized he wasn't listening.

"Hey, would you kindly stop playing with your phone?Because we're already starting." still Reggie disobeyed and your patience was declining due to his importunate. You snatch his phone out of his hand and shove it in your bag.

"Hey I was already in the highest score!"

"Not my problem. Go grab your books and turn it on page 63."

"Okay, Geez you don't have to be bossy." You just rolled your eyes at his compliment and the two of you started reviewing.

"So that's how we got the answer which is 1." you finished and turn to Reggie who you realized was asleep all this time.

"Hey our time is not a sleeping session." You coldly poked his shoulder hard so that he can wake up. 

"What's wrong with that?"  He snapped. Wow, you thought

"What's wrong with--- You aren't listening to my discussions and---"

"So what it's not like the end of the world." He lean back at his chair, crossing his arms. 

You were now preventing yourself to explode because of his attitude. But instead of snapping back at him, you turn to your book. 

" Again we got the answer 1 because---"

"Why do you care that much? You're not that obligated teach me or anything. And to be honest, you're just wasting your saliva discussing about these things because I won't listen to you because you're such a boring tutor.I have no idea how you live your life with a such unmotivating and grandma era way." That's it, you thought. 

"You know what, I don't. I don't care if you will have a lowest score in class. I don't care if you'll end up taking a break from foot ball because you have a failing score in all of your test. I don't care.FYI, if I don't help you with your studies I have nothing to lose while you on the hand may lose everything. Bummer,huh?So,It's your loss not mine." 

You put all of your things inside your bag and walk away.  You didn't dare to look back at at him when he called your name. 

Reggie was in front of you, blocking you. You went to the right side, but he blocked you. You took a step to the other.

"Reggie.Move" 

"Not until you listen to me." 

"Tell me why should I?" You clutched tightly to your backpack. Then he sighed.

"Look... I've been a jerk. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have acted like that. I know I'm like  one of the people you would like to be with. It's just that.."

"What?"You crossed your arms, waiting for his reason that led him to act this way.

" My ears heat up when you glance at my way. And when you smile I could not help but to smile. It's because I get flustered when I'm with you. Which is totally uncool." Your brows furrowed but couldn't help but to smile of how he confess to you.

"I also acted that way when we were studying because I don't have a date tomorrow night." 

Reggie scratched his neck while staring down. You couldn't help but to giggle.

"So you're asking me out?"with a teasing tone. 

"Yea..." 

"Well why didn't just ask me out before we begin our tutor."You smiled sweetly at him as you saw Reggie shy face brighten.

"I dunno... I thought you and Archie----"

"No, you dummy. Me and Archie aren't a thing and----"

"So is that a yes?" He smiles goofily and you nodded. You felt your cheeks heat up when he hugs you. After a few second, Reggie let go of you.Scratching the back of his neck, shyly.

"Well see ya later." You started walking.

"Y/N! "

"I'll pick you up at 7." You nodded and walked away because of how your heart was beating fast.Realizing that this friday night, you'll not be alone but with a guy. <3
