A Rainy Day

Sunday (7 months Later)

I'm still working at Guy's Restaurant. Lately , I've been getting big tips. But today's tip is the biggest.

I had to wait a room full of 20 people. After they were finished a man paid $351.09. Then he gave me $250 tip. For the "unbelievable way I kept up with them." Then he also said save it for "a rainy day".

After they left I realized it was time for me to leave. I clock out and take off my apron. I pull out my phone ready to call somebody to pick me up but I quickly put my phone back in my pocket and walked back to Lilian D.

"Lilian I quit!" I say as calmly as possibly. She simply looks at me and gives me my last pay check. I walk away and call Chris.

Chris pulls up 15 minutes later. I hop into his car "Hey Christopher!" I say. He looks at me "Hey Jasmine, why are you calling me by my full name? What's up with you."

I smiled "I quit." He slams on the brakes. "N!gga d*mn."I said while he started to drive again.

"I'm sorry. What did you say cuz I don't think I heard you correctly." he said.

"I quit Q-U-I-" he cut me off by slamming on the brakes. " N!gga if you do that again I going to punch you in your left nut." I said as serious as can be.

"Why did you quit?"

"Remember the day we first met yeah?" he nodded "and you told me to save the money for a rainy day? Well today a rainy day."

He looked out at the sky. " Uhh Jasmine... what sky you looking at cuz the sky just outside my window it's sunny and there are some clouds... but no rain clouds." he smiled.

"So what are you going to do for this 'rainy day'?"

"We are going to the poconos."

"We?"

"Uh yeah" he slams on the brakes again

"N!GGA!"

"Sorry almost missed your house."

"Bye Christopher." I said while blowing him a kiss.

"Stop calling me that!"

I go into my house. As soon as I get in my phone rings. I was going to answer but Captain Save -A-Lot (Derrick) comes grabs my phone...

"This is Jasmine's phone, Derrick speaking..." I hate when he does this "uh huh... oh I see a vacay... without her big brother I think not... yes I will come...can I bring other peopl-" I grab my phone.

"N!gga damn we weren't finished talking. Your so rude."

"One why are you in my house , two where in the world did you come from and three why the h-e-l-l are you in my house!"

He points to the phone " uh your yelling Mr.Chris' ear."

"Chris don't invite people this is supposed to be a vacation without these people damn. I gotta go."

I hung up.

"Answer my questions n!gga." I say to Derrick as he tries to walk away.

"I have a key, out my mother's womb and I don't feel like repeating the first thing I said so suck my a*s"

"Look n!gga, stop coming in my house like you own the place."

"I have something to tell you on the morning so Imma sleep on the couch goodnight!" he said running away.
