*Alinda's POV*

"You should talk to him anyways, you know that?" Hermione said. We were in the Great Hall but I was sitting with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "I know but not right now. He just asked Angelina." I said, picking up on my food. "I think I should go to my Potions class." I said, standing up slowly. "Alright, bye!" I waved at them and walked to the classroom, thinking about what happened. Fred asked Angelina out and he didn't even have a clue about my confession.

I arrived at the Potions classroom, which was empty. I sat to a desk and got ready for the class. I didn't want Snape to give me a detention after what awful things happened. People started to come to the classroom. A few seconds later, I saw Fred coming, with Angelina. I quickly looked down at my book. I heard his footsteps getting nearer and sitting next to me. "Hey Alinda!" he said. I looked at him. He wasn't smiling nor looking happy. "Hi" I said, turning to my book once again.

"Open up to page 97," Professor Snape said. I opened the book hesitantly. When I found the page, I saw the title Amortentia. Well, I'm very lucky. "Who can tell me what is an Amortantia?" Snape said. When he saw me raising my hand up, he looked at me with his irritating smile. "Miss. Granger" he said, not an emotion in his voice. "It's the most powerful love potion in the world." I said. "And what does it smell like to you?" he said, smiling wider. I gulped anxiously. I smelled the potion in front of us. "Chocolate," I stated. I took a sniff again. "Parchment," I bent down once again and smelled a familiar scent. When I realised what it actually was, my eyes widened. I opened my mouth to say it but I couldn't. "Yes?" Professor Snape said. I took a deep breath and said the word. "Cinnamon." Fred's eyes were darted on me, his pupils dilating.

"Well, I think someone from our class is in love!" he teased with enthusiasm. The class started to roar with laughter as Snape dismissed us.

"Hey, wait - Alinda!" I heard Fred call to me as I rushed out of the classroom. I slowly stopped and turned around. His brown eyes were staring right into mine. "You said you smelled..." I stopped him. "It doesn't really matter! It is just cinnamon-"

"I know what cologne I wear Ally." he said, getting closer. I stepped back and said "Just forget it! You have Angelina anyway. After what happened at Hogsmeade..."

"I'm just taking her to the ball-" he said, sounding defensive. I laughed like he was joking. "Yeah right? It's just a ball. I'm an idiot. After what I confessed, you go and ask out to another girl." "But-"

"Just don't," I said. "There's nothing you can do about it." I turned on my heels and went next to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "Hey!" I said, giving a fake smile. "What did he say?" Harry said. "Actually nothing. Nothing important." Hermione furrowed her eyebrows. "What?" I said sharply. "We were supposed to babysit over the break..." Hermione said. "However, the Yule Ball is during Christmas so, what will you do Al?"

"I'll consider it, but I don't really want to babysit." I said sheepishly. "You'll be a great mother though, 'Mione!" "Thanks! Well you are good sister. You will probably be not only great, but the greatest mother." She gave a smile and I returned it. A sister like her was making me happy at the worst of times. "Yeah," Ron said sarcastically. "...with Fred's kids." I choked on my pumpkin juice, and started to cough very roughly. "I think I couldn't catch it." I said, trying to be calm, but my heart was pounding in my chest.

"He's always talking about you! Alinda 'this', Alinda 'that'..." I couldn't keep a smile from grazing my lips as I looked down at my plate. "So why did he take Angelina to the ball? I'm confused." Harry said, looking puzzled. "I really don't understand it either..." I said quietly. "I think I'll go to bed. I also have a lot essays need to be done."
