*Alinda's POV*

We were at the Great Hall, a week later after Cedric's death. I decided to speak to Mr. and Mrs. Diggory to tell them how sorry I am for him...

"Hello, Alinda..." Mrs. Diggory said. She sounded melancholic. I understood them because I was as much broken as them. "Hi. I wanted to say that I'm so, so sorry for your loss. He was a good friend of mine. He helped me in the worst time and... he was brave." I said, trying not to stutter. "He was always nice and supportive."

"Oh, thank you! You're such a nice girl..." Mrs. Diggory said, embracing me tightly. She cried on my shoulder and when she backed away, she grabbed a tissue. I walked back to my seat between Fred and George. Dumbledore got up from his seat and started speaking. My mind was so empty that I couldn't pay attention to his speech. There were black banners hanging above the professors' table. I decided to listen to Dumbledore carefully.

"There is much that I would like to say tonight," said Dumbledore. "but I must first acknowledge the loss of a very fine person, who should be sitting here with us," he looked towards the Hufflepuffs. "enjoying our feast with us. I would like you all, please, to stand, and raise your glasses for Cedric Diggory."

Everyone stood and we raised our glasses for him. "Cedric Diggory." we all said, my voice cracking as Fred held my hand under the table. "Cedric was a person who exemplifies many of the qualities that distinguish Hufflepuff house. He was a good and loyal friend, a hard-worker, he valued fair play. His death affected you all, whether you knew him or not. I think you have the right to know how it exactly happened," he said, looking serious. "Cedric Diggory was murdered by the one and only Lord Voldemort." My eyes widened as I stared at Dumbledore.

It can't be real...

He was long gone...

No... it doesn't make any sense!

"The Ministry of Magic," he continued. "does not allow me to tell you this. It is possible that some of your parents will be horrified that I've done so, either because they'll not believe that Lord Voldemort has returned, or because they think I should not tell you as you're young. It is my belief, however, that the truth is generally preferable to lies, and that any attempt to pretend that Cedric died as a result of an accident, or some sort of blunder of his own, is an insult to his memory. There is somebody else who must be mentioned in connection with Cedric's death. I'm talking about Harry Potter, of course." People in the room started to whisper things to each other, facing Harry.

"Harry Potter managed to escape from Lord Voldemort's attack," Dumbledore said again. "He risked his own life to return with Cedric's body to Hogwarts. He showed bravery that few wizards have ever shown facing Lord Voldemort, and I honor him." He raised his glass, as everyone followed.

"It is my belief that we're all facing dark and difficult times. Some of you in this Hall have already suffered directly in the hands of Lord Voldemort. Many of your families have been torn away from you. A week ago, a student was taken from our midst. Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time comes when you'll have to make a choice between what's easy or what's right to do. Remember the boy who was good, kind, and brave, because he strayed across a path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory."

I blinked and a couple of tears ran down my cheeks. I wiped my eyes and cheeks quickly, trying not to show I'm crying. I bit my lip to keep calm. "Let it all out," Fred said, looking into my eyes. "If you need to, don't hide it. It doesn't mean that you're weak." I let all my tears leave my eyes, as everyone started to eat.

Fred, George and I walked to the train and we talked about next year. "This year had been a disaster!" George said. "Tell me about it!" I said. "I don't even know what to feel."

We went into the train and found a compartment. "I think I'll have some sleep. My head is pounding." I groaned, as I held my head. "If you want," he patted his lap and I nodded, laying onto his lap. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep.

When I woke up, we were not there yet. I got up and sat. "You're finally awake. I thought you would never wake up." Fred said, hugging me. I sighed, holding onto him.

(Oof, imagine that he's Fred, srry if it's weird)

"Hey, I think I have surprise for you," I looked at him with a confused look on my face. "You'll come to the Burrow two weeks later! Mom told your mom to come to the Burrow with Hermione, of course, and she accepted it!"

"Well, that's great news, right?" I said, looking at George. "I think so, if you don't snog all the summ-" I threw my book at him, causing him to laugh, me and Fred joining to him.

When we arrived at Nine Three Quarters, we got our trunks and got off the train with Harry, Hermione and Ron. Hermione and I found our mom and dad then we said everyone goodbye. I saw Hermione kiss Harry's cheek and him blushing. I chuckled and I gave Fred a peck on the lips. "See you soon, mon amour..." We waved at each other and left the King's Cross Station. This was going to be a boring summer, without the Weasleys.
