"Blair, come on. The family will be here in about an hour." My fathers voiced bounced off of one wall to another in my room.

He scared me out of my deep slumber. Like, excuse me?

"Oh well. They can handle not seeing me for once." I retorted, shoving my face further into my pillow.

He groaned,

"One hour, you better be downstairs-and looking presentable."

My bedroom door was shut with slight force before my dads heavy footsteps walked away.

I sighed, no god damn point in sleeping now. My arms went beneath me and guided me up so I could comfortably sit.

Once I was positioned, I grabbed my phone and began scrolling through a few different things-mainly liking peoples posts on social media, though.

Not too long after waking up a bit, I walked into my bathroom towards my closet.

I always shower at night, it just makes the most logical sense. Like, what if I work out in the day? Or I did some type of athletic thing-causing me to sweat? Then I'd have to take another shower at night anyways because nobody goes to bed all sweaty and gross. So, in conclusion, I do not need to worry about a shower. Which gives me more time to get ready.

My entire family enjoys showing up on random days-maybe for fun. I don't really know why or care. Not my problem.

Anyways, it's the end of February. A Saturday, to be even more precise. Okay, you know what-it's Saturday, February twenty third. So, the weather is still quite cold here in Michigan.

But, it's not like I'm getting dressed up all fancy to spend time with my family, as my dad said "look presentable". He didn't say 'put on ten pounds of makeup and wear a dress'.

Well, if he did say that, I'd be moving out.

I reached into my closet and grabbed my white, cropped, long sleeve top, along with some light, ripped jeans. (Below)

Then I reached down and grabbed hold of the first pair of white sneakers that I saw

Then I reached down and grabbed hold of the first pair of white sneakers that I saw.

"Blair?" A young, male voice called into my room.

Now... it could be one of three people. My brother, Dylan, my cousin, Myles, or my other cousin, Nathaniel.

And it sounded like all of them.

"Yeah?" I replied, walking out of my bathroom.

My eyes landed on my little brother who stood in my doorway-my door closed behind him,

"Can we talk for a minute?"

I nodded in response, before walking over to my bed. Momentarily, Dylan followed my actions as I sat down.
